23 Feb Drought Day #1 It seems like it is the start of the D day # signals during the early Asian session: only 1
Greetings, maxinger, What’s your favourite index future in Europe? I already trade ES, but am considering expanding to another contract. Thank you.
these are my favorites which I trade actively : dax cac40 omxs30 DJ Euro stoxx50 / FESX FTMIB occasionally I'd look at these: AEX Amsterdam BEL 20 Stoxx 600 index <<< volume quite low FTSE is definitely tradable but I didn't subscribe to its data.
Thank you. How's the liquidity/moves on the OMXS30? I just checked the chart and it looks fairly smooth, so I assume there's good volume. We have a futures contract on the index here in Oslo, too. OBX futures. But last I checked the liquidity is terrible and not many offer it for trading.
omxs30 liquidity is very good. I think its volume is higher than cac40 and dax. in fact, yesterday omxs30 was the best for trading because its movement was trendy (not choppy). dax was very choppy. the symbol for esignal is OMXS30.C H22-OMF the symbol for IB is OMXS302C
That's great, @maxinger. I'm going to research OMXS30 moving forward then and see if it's something I can start trading in addition to ES. Cleaner trends (rare on ES) is arguably easier to trade.
I'll do some research and testing first of course. I'd like to pull up some charts and see what it looks like and how it integrates with what I'm already doing on ES. Do you trade with Interactive Brokers? I'm pretty sure my current broker (Ninjatrader) does not offer OMXS30, so need to find a broker as well.
23 Feb early US session ok. no D day again European index futures movements are trendy (not choppy). and US index futures movement are choppy. Those who traded European index futures during the US session should be happy. and as usual, index futures down, crude oil up. OK. time to sleep.
