Democrats Iowa Caucus Debacle

  1. True.

Nominating someone who is not even a democrat is not the smartest way to preserve the democratic party.

But, hey, that's just me. The dems have special ways of thinking.

  3. Heh, I like Carville. I hated him for years but as the decades go by I realize that he is truly one of the greatest bullshitters in American history and I mean that as sort of a compliment. He is a weird duck, always has something pithy to say. You know if you go a year or two without seeing him and then he comes on the tube, it is scary as hell. Takes a little acclimation.

  5. By their own admission they were preparing this for three years. They know the roll out is of upmost importance. The app fails, the back up fails, the simplest counting gets screwed up. Guess it's all a big coincidence. Reminds me of another recent "perfect Storm" of incompetence. The highest profile criminal in recent history is in custody and has already attempted suicide once. The cameras fail, the guards are asleep, basic protocol isn't followed. It's a real mystery.
What we're witnessing is either corruption and collusion happening in plain sight, or ineptitude at a level which is staggering. And at the end of the day this is how they settle it. WTF? What's next, Magic 8 Balls?

  9. This Iowa caucus flap still does not smell right.

Where is the rest of the data and what is the timetable there?

They originally said that the app was the problem but not to worry because they had all the raw, manual data. Ahhh okay. So what's the problem now. You have all the manual reports from the precinct captains and it takes some time to enter those into a spreadsheet, so what. So what's the issue now.

You have Buttigieg declaring victory and people declaring that they were right about Buttigieg winning. But you have no frigging idea who won. The 62% might be predictive if it is a random sample- but has anyone said that? The remaining data might all be from parts of the state that have a very different voter composition than the ones being reported. I dont have any info on that and they are making sure that I don't so far.

Short story. Bernie takes it up the bo-bo again.

I would not be a bit surprised if they did not release the rest of the data until after the NH primary in six days. That's admittedly pretty cynical on my part, so just release the data then motherfucks and we will set that aside. I give you zero benefit of the doubt. Des Moines Iowa poll shits the bed and suddenly cannot be released two days before the election. Then the election results cannot be released. Yeh, I am seeing a pattern here.
