Additionally the Department of Education is responsible for collecting information about test results from schools across the U.S. The information is used to measure educational performance. Once the Department of Education is eliminated we basically won’t have a unified idea on how our schools are performing.

Well now you changed your story... first you said the bad state of education in U.S. is due to the DoE and it needs to be abolished....now you realize the states control full curriculum and standards, it is DoE is deadwood that does nothing... What savings....most of the DoE budget is paid out in funding to the states for students with needs and programs the state cannot fund or cover. All we ask here is you research before you rant... that is why you are alone out on that limb. I think that rule should be removed. That happens all day every day on this subforum. This subforum should be named derogatory insults. That is like Tuxan's specialty and I give it back.
