As humans, it is impossible for us to completely detach emotions like depression, fear or anxiety from trading as long as there is real money involved. However, formulating a solid trading plan and maintaining a journal to track progress helps in controlling emotions to some extent.
Traders are more likely to experience depression usually after experiencing major losses. Personally, I seek out social support in my family and friends and this works for me.
It is normal to feel stressed out because for many traders, forex is the only income source. But it can get overwhelming when you are facing losses. That is the time when you don't let your failures consume you. Regularly analyse your trades and back test your strategy. Also, engage yourself in some physical and mental exercise to get rid of the stress. Keeping an additional source of income is very helpful, especially when you have just entered into the market.

Biggest enemy of telling friends and family is schadenfreude. Be careful as it can come back to bite you someday. (schadenfreude- pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune)

Taking breaks and engaging in activities that bring joy are helpful. I agree, at times, it can be difficult. So, it’s okay to get support from friends, family, or a mental health professional.
