What fund companies let you trade directly with them, sans broker?

Open-ended mutual funds are a dying format. ETFs are the future.

However, there are a number of very talented Active managers/great strategies that are accessible only in that format. Example: Dodge and Cox is a great large value fund that has been tilted to financials for decades. If you are not targeting unique exposures unavailable in any ETF, it is not worth the trouble.

Either way, it is best to access those funds thru a low cost broker than have multiple fund sponsor relationships.
