EFX Group

  1. No problem at all.
I don't have 30 years of FOREX experience. I have thirty years of market and trading experience. As far as the ACI and "Out of court". Ok. Not sure how it applies or even what it is but, Ok.

I guess your "problems" with the system are my opportunities and visa versus. I know a few speed Arb guys that live for this.... and quite well.

P.S. I am not an attorney nor do I work for MBT.

I heard of a FX broker that has Metatrader with a Currenex feed...

Not sure if that is possible.

MBT supports Stocks, Options, Futures, and Forex. EFX supports forex. As for forex it's one in the same. Both using the Navigator and routing orders through the 3D Forex ecn.

  5. thank you, steve.

is my understanding also correct that the forex trader's funds with EFX andf MB are held in the same place, also?

  6. I signed up with a small account to see for my self. It is not yet funded, so i didn't do any trades as of now, but i can log in and watch the quotes. If they proof to be somewhat useful, i will use them as my backup-broker.

As far as the higher bids than offers are concerned, i dont think these are stale, off market or otherwise "illegitimate" prices, as lon eagle thinks. I.e. just now during asian hours, theres really often choice in USD/JPY (altho only 1 mio deep most of the time). And even now, not under fast market-circumstances, i can see a higher bid than offer(and vice versa) sometimes for a moment. It seems to me just that some of the banks/institutions that post streaming prices on this platform are not executed against each other. When theres a choice-market or during figures this can then result in "inverted quotes" for a short time.
Maybe steve can confirm or deny this.

Now if they would offer competitive commissions..

  7. They're quite clear about this when you sign up for an account:

"The transactions you are entering into with mb trading futures are not traded on an exchange. Therefore, under the u.s. bankruptcy code, your funds may not receive the same protections as funds used to margin or guarantee exchange-traded futures and options contracts, which receive a priority in bankruptcy. Since that same priority has not been given to funds used for off-exchange forex trading, if mb trading futures becomes insolvent and you have a claim for amounts deposited or profits earned on transactions with mb trading futures, your claim may not receive a priority. Without a priority, you are a general creditor and your claim will be paid, along with the claims of other general creditors, from any monies still available after priority claims are paid. Even customer funds that mb trading futures keeps separate from its own operating funds may not be safe from the claims of other general and priority creditors."

  10. It wasnt what I was told 2 years ago. Then I was told they are stale quotes, the platform freezes and so the prices don't really exist.

I dare say the only thing to do is set up another account and see if it has changed.
