Today's results: Up a little over $250 (Automated was down the entire day due to technological malfunctions) Didn't get to trade very much at all b/c of technical problems with our order routing today. Doesn't look like I missed out on very much except a few early morning opportunities to take long positions in a few other stocks that look setup to perform reasonably well. Holding some SLV and TSCO long overnight. I'm not feeling so-so about TSCO but SLV looks good. I'll update my entry prices tomorrow when I have access to my platform. I'm looking forward to seeing Part 1 of Atlas Shrugged tomorrow at the movie theatre. It should be interesting to see how closely it follows the book. Thanks.
Quick premarket update on my 2 overnight positions: Long SLV from 40.60 Long TSCO from 63.67 Thanks...good luck

Today's Total Results: +$3854.38 Discretionary Results: +$643.69 Good day today. I really didn't trade all that well but not all that bad today. I need to head to the gym right now and I will update with further details later on tonight. Thanks. Why did I just sell AAPL post-market at 355.39...geez. I don't like money I guess.
Quick update on the details of my trading day today: - Traded VMW this morning like a newb and I should've murdered it. Also did something similar with JNPR. I was whipped around on the fade and on the breakout in JNPR. - SLV started breaking down this afternoon and I took a few thousand shares short. Made a little in it. I gave back a lot of my profits trying to short the bounce in anticipation of a resumption of the downtrend that never happened. The capitulation move on the downside was a classic fade setup but because I lost about 11k fading SLV late last year the day it corrected when I tried to buy the dip, I was hesitant to fade it today after that move. Typical.... - I traded AAPL relatively well throughout the day and post-market. - I got schooled in TIVO. I called it out to the guys around me when I saw it begin to move. I tried to buy on the bid like an idiot and he ran away from me. Then he came back down and I had a chance to buy so I bought a few thousand shares and he had some trouble breaking through .50s and he quickly came back down, so I exited. Of course about 5 mins later the details of the ruling were released and the stock took off without me. I took a walk outside after that. I played it a little on the move up and on the fade later on and made a few dollars but nothing spectacular. - Made most all of my money today in QCOM earnings post-market and some in AAPL as well. QCOM brought my discretionary trading back to positive on the day. I usually trade that stock pretty well during earnings. It amazes me how that stock with such a large float tends to move so dramatically during earnings season. Every time they report its the same thing. All in all I traded okay but I need to be better about capitalizing on opportunities. That said, I really feel very positive about my psyche and that should effect my trading in a positive fashion. Let's hope so anyway. Tomorrow should be a great environment for trading. Good luck.
**What was the ruling about? ***Do you typically keep the log on how the stocks move during earnings? Thx
1 - The TIVO vs. DISH saga news: Earlier in the day the court affirmed that TiVo patents for digital recording technology had been infringed. The issue goes back to 2004 when TiVo alleged that EchoStart's Dish Network violated its patent that lets users record one television program while watching another. Typically, I only trade thick stocks that report earnings post-market so I don't have much to remember in that dept. I only trade thick stocks because I hate trading wide spreads in earnings post-market b/c I've been rocked in the past when I've paid the spread. How's everything going with you SE?
