Thanks! Everything is going poco-poco, step by step.Refining my trading technic to trade patterns now.But not BO of the patterns that already emerged.I`m trying to trade patterns while they are forming. Most of the time it works out quiet well.No S/R, no indicators or oscillators that usually prevent you from seeing what need to see.Only patterns and MA as a mobile pivot point.
Today's Total Results: +2681.27 Discretionary: +505.40 Solid but slow day. I probably stayed up too late trading comments on ET last night b/c I woke up a little late. Pretty dumb to waste my time speaking with some people on here. Lol. But just for that certain someone, I'll put forth some extra effort and I'll post a P&L screenshot today. Biggest winners: AAPL +448.22 (this was a combo of fading and going with the trend w/small size) HON +408.60 (this was a fade) Biggest losers: SLV -200.92 (thought today would be the breakdown and I was wrong. I hope it doesn't gap down on Monday) GE - 144.20 (fade that I lost in) Slow day for me. There were some opportunities but my head was kind of focused on the 3-day weekend. PFE was a huge opportunity that I didn't touch. I remain hesitant fading pharma. Everyone have a good weekend. Take it easy.
Seems you are using sterling.I just started to use it and didn`t find reverse option so far.Is there one anyway?
Not sure why it seems that way. I've never used it. I've used only 3 platforms my entire life. I used Sharebuilder and Scottrade in college and my firm's proprietary platform. I've been thinking about trying out Telechart for some of it's post-market filtering capabilities, but I haven't gotten around to it.
That's good to hear. I have a friend that likes to buy strong stocks prior to the breakout. He does well with it. I've tried it but it just doesn't work with my psychology.
Today's Total: +2437.67 Discretionary: +1053.15 Solid day. I barely traded today after around 10am and I called it a day early after I started to not feel so well. I have a strange body ache feeling going, but I'm feeling a little better. Hopefully it goes away by later tonight or tomorrow morning. Biggest winners: SLV +446.00 (overtraded this stock short on the breakdown earlier in the day...its been on my radar for awhile and frankly I'm disappointed that I didn't capitalize more on this opportunity) APKT +278.80 (this was a fade from this am...shorted 80.43s up to 80.72s -- as a side note -- I've been reteaching myself how to fade because I've gotten quite far away from what it takes to win at this game. After taking some very large losers in the past, I got away from adding to the position as it went against me and this is what it takes to be good at selling volatility. I'm sure a lot of people here will say "that's a fast way to ruin," and to some extent they're right BUT you have to manage risk appropriately to be sure you don't blow up. It certainly doesn't mean that you just continue to short or continue to buy until you get tapped on the shoulder. Anyhow, I'm relearning fading just using small size and re-mastering the process. When I first learned how to trade I think I took my losers in this style of trading far too personally and I didn't fully accept the role of probability in this (or any other style) style of trading. So hopefully with an improved psyche and a better focus on the process I'll be back to trading big positions in this style of trading. I don't think it will take long....mostly because I'm not starting from scratch.) TZOO +226.12 (another fade play...avg. short price was 103.32s) Biggest and only loser today (only traded 8 stocks today): LWSN - 69.76 I went ahead and attached another P&L blotter for autotrading and discretionary in honor of the idiocy of the above poseur....ahem poster. Don't worry I'll never speak of him again or acknowledge him in this thread. Thanks.
Of course, you made a fool of yourself and can't delete the posts. Don't blame ya. Now, instead of posting these meaningless recaps, why not add some value and discuss the reason for your brilliant results. Like, when you're fading, why you're buying, stop losses. sizing. All I see is, "I made lots of money today as usual , but I know I can do better"
