Also note, the Trader graphic specifically mentions 475 (MTM) accounting election. And states "Traders may be eligible to make".

TTS is required in order for the IRS to accept and recognize the 475 (MTM) election.

Otherwise, ANYONE with a relatively sizable (and minimally active) portfolio would be eligible for trading business benefits and taxation.

 

Where I live there's a large number of boat ramps, every man and his dog is out in their tinny fishing, no one at work, then we have a 4 day weekend...

 

If you're playing the long term, under 1900 is where you should be looking to buy again.
