The Halsey book is a decent overview, and I only mentioned it yesterday so that people could have a source other than myself for what I was claiming. Otherwise, the examples I've given in this thread and your own observations of price and testing set ups and formulating a plan is all you really need. That and the ability draw a straight line, perhaps.
Macro landscape: Margin debt is @ Sept '09 lows which means CTA's are not back long yet. Breaching these OCT'18 highs can force them back in. Usually does, FOMO. Next week is Japan's golden week, holiday for most of the country. Reduces participation. Vola is exacerbated in thin markets as algos trip each other. Great for intraday trends. World's central banks have all gone dovish. Safety is U.S. markets. FOMC won't do anything stupid. Be very careful shorting, if your TA says close a short do it.
