Thunder. Once in a while someone comes along whose reputation precedes them. Thunder. Another word for that reputation is thunder. Thunder. Sir Vanzandt, you are such a person. Thunder. I am thunderstruck!
Retail sales on Tuesday seems make or break. NVDA earnings on Wednesday, Fed speeches second half of this week. just tiptoed 3 ticks gain and lost patience, better things to do on Sunday night. China retail sales beats expectations so I guess we will be ok onshore as well. Indecisive.
Decision time for a major leg up/down: Looks like both ES/NQ can roll over if this 4680 level doesn't hold on the day. Gap below @ 4677, but lately they not been that great support on Mondays, so don't count on it.
The predictive model is moderately to fairly bullish on the day with this pattern. Meaning odds favour at least a move back up towards 4690 and quite possibly a new HOD by the Close. A bigger sell from here today seems less likely.
Well the high was about 4697 at 8:30 EST. The volume was there. 4682 now. I know you like semantics, but don't trade from the gut Overnight, that won't work for you. Aether is at best, reserved. Too say the least. Use charts.
What do you mean that the volume was there? Does that imply a reversal to you? Could you share how you traded it? ie did you short at 4690, or wait until the volume was there?
I don't trade ES anymore. My remarks are based on the market in general. I share on this thread from time to time when I'm confident it might be profitable for all of you. I think I've said this before here. I see it's at 4672 now. There ya go.
I watched a video just today. Jeff Cooper I think? It was an old video on youtube. He said there was a "talking head" on CNBC who was bullish the whole way down during a bear market. When someone finally called him on it, he said "well, I was wrong, but I was wrong for all the right reasons." Mr. Cooper said that is a dangerous mindset. You will lose. The market is always right. Right reasons" belong with "gut feelings" maybe? I agree Mr Vanzant. Trade with charts!
