that's the sort of insane shit I used to regularly do before I finally realised that shorting, unless we are in a super bearish environment, is a low odds game. And it took me SO LONG to even work it out lol. I shudder at the number of times i'd short because we were 'over extended' and 'surely gotta have a dip soon' etc. Fighting the natural market forces. Most people will be way better off by forgetting they even have the option to 'short'!
Exactly. I know we're on the same page here and have no problem being 'dumb' - while so many others have 1000 reasons the market should crash. I used to be one of them and it was expensive.
