Must say, today's ES price action was nasty. Usually is when price is trapped for a long time inside the OR, if there was a lesson today, that was probably it. Here's what went through my mind during the trading day along with the trades. Anek
You are welcome, glad to see they help. At the top I made a small typo, should say pHOD. I usually get bitch slapped on days like today but been learning a bit on how to prevent that. Anek
Anek, So I am assuming you enter stops when you enter a trade and even if it is a meaningless wick, you r out? From AHG it seems like ths closes were the most important. As i mentioned earlier in a previous thread, I wait for the close rather than the wick. But the thing with that is when it does close at or below the stop, I get shitty prices and the losses are a tick or two larger, small but still bigger. you follow? Because i think that stops are just hit by the wicks are games being played. how do you do it? What about thos big ass wicks you see, the one that spikes 10 points for 1 second and then comes back down, isn't there a risk you would get filled at that?
Price is continuous from opening to close, I don't pay attention to open or close, only to highs and lows, and sometimes those fool, in the end its all about support and resistance. Just enter in key areas and hope for the best while managing risk. Price is too chaotic to be paying attention to the smallest of details. Anek
