    I can't write this w/o appearing disrespectful but it's a Tier 2 unit. So they are more elite than say 75RR but below CAG. A Teams do direct action but not hostage rescue.

    Family friend (kids in school together) is former DEVGRU with an econ degree from the Cal-System. No MBA. He's working as a welder as the pay is better than anything he can get in finance. It was weird that he's (BAML guy) a jr on an M&A desk but what is he going to do with an MBA at 40?

    The trading floor I was on wouldn’t make the distinction as he would have been able to demonstrate the important skills.

    im not surprised about your friend. A welder can make the same as a surgeon with no stress, extra hours, or bullshit corporate stuff.
