Can you imagine the ignorance level of someone who asks you to provide a formal proof for a negative? theistic evolution is just a one step retreat from the bible stories because in this day of knowledge trying to convince believers that the earth is 6000 years old is near impossible.theistic evolution gives thinking christians a gap in our knowledge that they can still fit their god in.
Sorry to touch such a raw nerve, but it really was an honest question. Do they also believe that Man was created in God's image? If, so then explain a fossil record which, as far as we can tell, indicates that life has existed for about 550 million years and experienced at least 5 major extinction events that have wiped out 99% of the biological diversity that once lived. Is it all just a case of God having a few hundred million years to kill until the universe settled down enough so that he could get on with it? Or, are these people hedging their bets, just in case?
I've studied this food situation longer than half the atheists posting here have been alive. Human dentition is not for meat, our teeth are made for ripping an apple apart and chewing it... yet we cannot get all the nutrition we need anywhere on the planet without eating some meat. All that is from the Anthropological knowledge base we have in this modern world... what that points to is the Bible story, before the Flood the recommended diet was plants and after the Flood meat was added... it's there in Genesis and it could not be more plainly stated... so the flood changed the earth more radically than even Bible readers understand... Regarding this horrible food supply we have, wow, you can supplement Omega3's if nothing else and be fairly healthy but it really is a horror story. Our health reflects it perfectly, insanity, cancer, you name it, it's rampant... no wonder we sit in front of computers and televisions all day, it's all we are up to...
i would say you are the moron. it is the gullible like you that allow the scammers to make money badmouthing our food system. i grew us as a farmer and have spent all my working life in the food growing or food transportation business. i know how food was grown and transported and i know how food is now grown and transported. i spent 18 years in the trucking business transporting food across the united states. it is near impossible to get fresher food than we have now. you can have fresh fruit and vegatables grown in california on the store shelves in chicago in 32 hours. that food will be temperature controlled within 2 degrees the whole time in transport. if the temp monitor shows a food like lettuce even 5 degrees warm when delivered it can be rejected by the store.
sure there are still problems but do you know how it used to be before modern food regulations? people who long for the good old days have no clue.

hee hee, I get a laugh every time i see these "millions of years facts" thrown around.. If a person doesn't have the Bible and read it the best they can do is wander around in the dark... universities that produced these facts have classes in Philosophy where they develop good arguments and good logic.. they know that circular reasoning is a bad argument.. then the student can go right down the hall to the geology / anthropology class and be told "we calibrate the strata by the geologic column" and "we calibrate the geologic column by the strata"... but not on the same day, or in the same part of the textbook. They have to separate those two notions otherwise people would stand up and say "hey, this is bullshit, the definition of calibration is comparison to a known standard and these assclowns don't have one".. then, since everything has to fit the new and improved world view of evolution, they throw out all measurements that don't fit that fantasy land they've created... 70-80% of scientific measurements regarding the age of things are thrown out because they don't fit the world view... who is stupider, modern science or the medieval church?? They both operate the same and they won / win the arguments through political power and nothing else... LOL...
