  1. For example if you do not want to hold much capital in your FX retail operations firm. Oanda is only a small part of the Olsen group: www.olsen.ch

    Average spreads ;

    EUR/USD and USD/JPY 3 pips
    GBP/USD and USD/CHF 4-5 pips

This was the answer I got from Refco Forex.

    Haven't seen narrower spreads....

  3. Oanda has narrower spreads, no matter the size.

What about the size with REFCO?

If you trade minimum 3000 lots a
month than you can go for the
    FC Clear system with Refco.

You have live quotes from JP Morgan
and the other big boys and can trade
    with them through refco.

Fixed 2 pip spread and 15 $/10 lots.

They have 3 different systems .
The most cost economic one is FX Clear
but you need to do size......

  5. Well, Oanda is finally CFTC registered and NFA approved. I don't know why the hell it took so long. This was always the biggest complaint against them. I don't think it's on their site yet, but I read it on their forums. Their NFA ID# is 0325821

    Just type it in here:

No, I don't work for them, I just have a small account. I just mentioned them in another thread, so I thought I would mention this here.

I also happened to find it today at the following link at the bottom of the page.

    http://fxtrade.oanda.com/about/about_fxtrade.shtml

Has anybody compared OANDA's prices to other companies during trading hours to see whether they are in sync for the most part. Just because one gets a 2 pip spread on the EurUsd does not mean you're getting the best price ie. if their price is different to the market to your disadvantage.

If oandas price was different it would be a great arbitrage opportunity.

I withdrew money from Oanda no problem.

They are similiar to Interactive Brokers. They make money because they have such a tight automated back office....

If price was different to the market to your disadvantage, would it not be to my advantage then if I took the trade going the other way. All in all, if such a price difference existed occasionally or much of the time, from the perspective of individual traders, it would even out in the wash.

Does anyone ever answer the phone at Oanda? Whenever I call I get a voice mail. Definitely not comforting if you need to get a hold of somebody urgently.
