and after years of saying this, I now have people telling it to me. Guy said it today. Krugman tooUnder the guise of "what is known is no longer a factor", or whatever, maybe we are bottoming out. But it's gonna be a bottom like Rosie O'Donnell's. I've been telling people 1870, Jessie James robbed trains and banks, and the people made him a hero. In the 30's, dillenger and Baby Face Nelson were cult heroes for robbing the hated banks. See the same trend here? Can you think of more hated institutions? I wonder how it plays out Whatever it is, glad I'm not there. Cuz it ain't gonna be so good.
"Elusive teenage 'Barefoot Bandit' moving eastward By MARGERY A. BECK (AP) â 1 day ago OMAHA, Neb. â A suspected teenage burglar from Washington known for daring exploits to evade capture is apparently moving eastward, according to authorities who think they spotted him on a Nebraska airport's surveillance video the same day an SUV there went missing. Police in Norfolk issued an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Colton Harris-Moore â dubbed "The Barefoot Bandit" after allegedly committing crimes sans footwear â following a June 19 break-in at the municipal airport office. Police discovered an SUV also was stolen from the airport. It turned up nearly 240 miles away in Pella, Iowa. Harris-Moore, of Camano Island, Wash., has evaded authorities since April 2008, when he escaped from a halfway house south of Seattle. He is accused of breaking into dozens of homes since and committing burglaries across Washington, as well as in British Columbia and Idaho. He's believed to have stolen boats, cars, even several small airplanes that have been hot-wired and then crash-landed. Much to the chagrin of law enforcement, a Harris-Moore fan club boasts more than 42,000 followers on Facebook."
i suspect this is partly due to the rush to complete homes in april/may before the homebuyer welfare program expired. home builders probably hired like mad to get the homes finished, and now they don't need those workers anymore because they know demand will soften like kramer on counterfeit viagra.
Bankers were literally hanged in 1870. Nowadays we put them in the White House Cabinet... times have changed...
The report will be ugly, ugly truth, no make ups this time, 9.9-10% at least. Why? If I'm right, I'll describe myself tomorrow after it.
This job number is going to be extreme, I wouldn't doubt seeing a huge miss where the economy loses 250,000+ jobs. Now where the market trades is an entire different story. This market that was all so positive just two weeks ago has now become a friendly bear market. The weakness in this market would never have been predicted last month when the foolish bulls thought the markets were done going down and only upside was ahead going into the second half.
I was wrong, no need to explain . It's probably not a time. Here the updated data: ftp://ftp.bls.gov/pub/suppl/empsit.cpseea1.txt 'employed' number shrunk by 301,000 workres in June 2010, making it less then 2004's average, while population is 14mln bigger, and % of 'employed' population - 58.5% - is one of the lowest since 1984, but never mind, joggling between 'not in labor force' and 'unemployed' is still funny thing..
