Walmart has bags of peeled vacuum packed garlic cloves. SO convenient. I take several cloves and thinly slice them, make a small tray from aluminum foil, put a couple tablespoons of butter on top, into the toaster oven.

They completely absorb the butter. Toasting makes the flavor quite mild.

    Very satisfying and so simple.

Don't go crazy. Too much garlic is bad for you.

Cooking garlic makes it lose most of it's benefits. Use it raw, ground.

No such a thing. I eat garlic like apples. Wife somehow doesn't like me doing it, I wonder why?

Thanks. I'm not eating it for medicine though. I enjoy the flavor.

Flavour is also better raw. It's also the only thing I know you can use to catch a flu early, but you have to do it ASAP when any symptom shows. I can't eat it like our slavic minded friend @Pekelo though, it needs to be grated.

How much do you eat to fix a flu?

1 or 2 gloves should do, the antibacterial properties are real.

Allicin seems to boost the immune system. My evidence is anecdotal of course, it seems to help when you consume it immediately when the symptoms are starting to show. In any case, unlike with pills, there's no downside.
