Wow I looked through my watch list stats and the Gold stocks came off hard ( I have none, but I did take a hit on Silvercorp today off of yesterday's close. That's the rug pull I expected to occur which is why I was out of them. If my theory is right MAG Silver will gap up again tomorrow once people figure out what happened. Oil stocks ( Athabaska, Baytex ) rocketed up to top of recent range first thing which made selling them an easy trade. If Silver cooperates, and PAAS starts recovering, MAG should got to $28-$30 Cdn. However, a more conservative target would be $27. When I bought Veren it went up on the takeover news, but well below the theoretical value if Whitecap hadn't dropped. Veren eventually rallied to close to that takeover value despite low Oil prices.

Well, I'm glad you're in the chips Stoney... you know I like CHDN. But... point being, had you wait a day or two, you'd be at least 14% greater in the chips. As a general rule, ---key word "general".... don't jump in trying to catch the bottom in the first day or so on a decent stock that got hammered on earnings. And yeah I know, that'll cause one to miss "a perfect bottom" occasionally... but so what? A good stock is a good stock. Trying to call the bottom after earnings is risky. In this case, your $92 entry would have been better (more disciplined) on the way up. Hey Vz I have a really bad hangover. I can explain this all to you at a later date. You don't willy nilly buy stocks that sell off; First you have a thesis, second you manage existing long positions since we are always invested and third you buy at the moment of maximum puke- that is always on the event day. I learned this method of investing from a holding I had for many years in my son's acct a special JP Morgan fund that used this method.. buying stocks on days of greater than normal sell offs and they for the most part crushed the market's returns 10 year's running. One down year. So it works but first like the stk to begin with and go from there. You could of used this method numerous time with Coinbase. ~stoney
