Actually at a 13 year old high Silver broke the inflection point. So this is uncharted territory other than the run up to $50 last Silver bull. It's decoupling from Gold because it is way, way behind traditional multiples to Gold. It could go either way at this point.

Oil is climbing slowly and US inventories turned negative last week. Not a lot of people in this trade yet but sometimes that's a good thing. A ton of analysts like Cdn Nat Gas now that we have the new pipeline. Nuvista broke major resistance today. I'm hesitant to enter this area still other than trades the moves are too slow. However, at current fundamentals some of these Cdn firms will be taken over.

Canadian commodity plays the firms have to fight for relative interest and given how many just turned super profitable the high P/E ones like this probably won't do as well imo. See what Silvercorp and Endeavour Silver did last few months until this week ( really, really bad ). Note that I'm not in MAG Silver anymore ( the alternatives I chose did well and I booked a nice profit instead of a loss ) but it did eliminate the gap entirely between the theoretical takeover price and where it was trading. Just like what VRN did in Oil.

  8. Could we get an update on your thinking? There is not much meat on the bone here; was this just a reflexive emotional outburst-?

GBA is in an up wave mentality but if you know something please tell us. Some of the children are confused with me not posting every day. Who do they turn to for market direction?

  9. S&P 500 closes above 6,000 for the first time since Feb after strong May jobs data

S&P 500 Enters Bull Market After Surpassing 20% Gain Threshold Since Post-Liberation Day Closing Low

I'm not buying this " bull market. " Several news outlets have stated that we are in a bull market having risen 20% from the lows.

That's interesting since no one ever admitted we were in a bear market.

And bull and bear moves do not happen this quick.

This was an out of norm plunge based off bad politics and scare tactics and as such neither the move down or the move up should be given much credence-- we are where we were in Feb and where is that?

Jesus I don't even know anymore. We were grinding up on hopes for Ai and that's pretty much where we still are albeit with an fragile economy.

.. and the Don Don noodles tasty!

So we are at the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning. If this China trade deal could get done the market will spike spike spike...

    I doubt it gets done.

and as we head to the self imposed deadline for getting what 170 deals done we are going to turn around and see we have but one.

And that's your death plunge this summer. I suppose Trump will extend again to Aug. That's the wild card- how the market accepts or rejects that kick-the-can tactic.

The UK got butt jammed and now everyone knows it. India and China and Germany will not be fooled.

  10. Big Court Case-
The legal fight over Trump’s tariffs hangs over everything. A court ruling striking down the country-by-country duties imposed using emergency authorities left partners with no certainty over what Trump’s powers are. The next test could come as soon as next week, when a court could rule on the administration’s appeal.
