Warner Bros. Discovery rises after revenue beat Warner Bros. Discovery shares gained more than 3% in the premarket Thursday on the heels of its second-quarter revenue topping estimates. The company posted $9.81 billion in revenue, while analysts surveyed by LSEG had been expecting $9.76 billion for the quarter. Warner Bros. Discovery said that it added 3.4 million streaming subscribers during the period, ultimately ending the second quarter with 125.7 million subscribers. On top of that, success at the box office from hit films like “A Minecraft Movie” and “Sinners” helped spur year-over-year studios revenue growth of 55%, the company also said.
I was going to use Eli Lilly as an example of the type of name you could buy on a one-day puke but I didn't realize it cost so damn much. Their miss on a fat-loss pill study will cast more attention on Viking... which could still turn out to be one of the stock stories of the year... Viking is expected to report the results from a Phase 2 study of its obesity-treating pill in the second half of this year. The update could come as early as this month. Metal stocks strong this week on the idea that Trump's tariff stuff isn't great. Copper settled down now but I took a hit on them last week ( ironically, I bailed on Capstone and three days later it's above my buy price ). TSX small caps in general doing really well this year I had a few unexpected windfalls as they turned profitable.
Nibble is a nibble. You never know where they'll bottom on an earnings selloff. I had 3 people buy in at $72 today. Did you see that bounce? This is a long term hold Stoney.
