Updates! blogs Innoviz to Ramp Up Production Tenfold 14 August, 2025 Will start mass production at Fabrinet during in the third quarter 2025. Annual sales forecast for 2025 was doubled to $50-60 million. InnovizThree LiDAR sensor will be unveiled soon Innoviz CEO, Omer Keilaf The provider of automotive LiDAR sensors, Innoviz Technologies(Rosh HaAyin, Israel) is gearing up towards the global launching robo-taxi autonomous driving services, planned to begin in 2026. The company has decided to increase its mass production volume of LiDAR systems tenfold at the facilities of its manufacturing partner, Fabrinet. The initial serial production of the InnovizTwo systems at Fabrinet started last month. This was revealed by Innoviz CEO, Omer Keilaf, during the earnings call this week, following the release of Q2 2025 financial results. Keilaf also shared that the Innoviz is currently developing its fourth sensor, the InnovizThree, which will be unveiled to customers later this month at the ITS exhibition in Atlanta. “InnovizThree represent a significant leap forward in performance, cost, and size,” he said. The is in the beginning of a new phase: sales grew by approximately 46% compared to the same quarter 2024, to a total of $9.7 million. H1 2025 sales have already surpassed the total sales of 2024, amounting to approximately $27.5 million. Accordingly, Innoviz has updated its 2025 sales forecast to $50-60 million, double its 2024 sales. A New Funding Program Despite having $79.4 million in cash and cash equivalents, the company has announced a $75 million ATM (At-The-Market) Program. This mechanism allows Innoviz to sell new or existing shares as needed to raise capital for temporary requirements. Maybe this is reason for the approximately 12.6% drop in the company’s stock on the Nasdaq, bringing its market capitalization to $316 million. According to Keilaf, Innoviz has signed a Statement of Development Work (SODW) agreement with one of the world’s five largest private car manufacturers. This agreement involves making several adjustments to the InnovizTwo LiDAR sensor in order to adapt it to the manufacturer’s specific requirements. “We have passed RFI and RFQ stages. This is a process we are familiar with, having made specific adjustments to the sensors of Volkswagen’s ID.Buzz autonomous taxi program.” The Surprising Advantages of Robots The ID.Buzz autonomous driving system is based on Mobileye’s solution, that includes 9 Innoviz sensors in each taxi. Keilaf also mentioned that the company has entered negotiations with other car manufacturers whose systems are based on Mobileye. An interesting new market for Innovis is in the industrial and security applications market (outside of the automotive industry). Keilaf: “The majority of our effort, 95%, is dedicated to the automotive sector, where the leading company holds a large portion of the market. However, we recently discovered that in robotics and industrial markets, there is a need for LiDAR sensors that meet functional safety requirements. “Because we come from the automotive market, we meet these conditions, unlike competing LiDAR manufacturers who did not come from automotive.” The company’s new sensor, InnovizSMART, is based on automotive technologies and is intended for use in industrial and robotics systems. It provides detection up to 450 meters even in challenging visibility and weather conditions. InnovizSMART LiDAR sensor The “Gold Rush” Returns Keilaf: We recently completed its integration within the Nvidia Jetson Orin environment and ecosystem. This means it is included in the reference designs that Nvidia provides to Orin customers. One reason for this move is that the major integrators in the industrial and robotics market frequently use Jetson.” For Innoviz, this new market offers several additional advantages: “The timelines here are much shorter, and the profit margins are very high compared to the automotive industry.” Meanwhile, a new trend is emerging in the AV market: “It is returning to the ‘Gold Rush’ phase. Manufacturers are now working on new car models and adopting Level 3 (L3) autonomous systems. We are seeing a recovery in the market for higher-level autonomy systems, L4, but here the main push comes mainly from the commercial market: autonomous taxis, autonomous trucks, and autonomous commercial transport vehicles.”

Camel brought up GFS. And it occurred to me maybe our original thesis is just now playing out/ U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday he plans to impose a 100% tariff on semiconductor imports, with an exemption for companies that manufacture or commit to manufacturing in the U.S. The announcement came as Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cookjoined the president in the Oval Office to unveil an additional $100 billion in the U.S. over the next four years, adding to the $500 billion the company has already pledged. “We’re going to be putting a very large tariff on chips and semiconductors, but the good news for companies like Apple is, if you’re building in the United States, or have committed to build, without question, committed to build in the United States, there will be no charge,” Trump told reporters. “So in other words, we’ll be putting a tariff of approximately 100% on chips and semiconductors. But if you’re building in the United States of America, there’s no charge.” Trump had previously signaled that the duties on chips and semiconductors could come as soon as next week. The proposed duties are part of his broader push to onshore high-tech manufacturing, with several top chipmakers, including Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), GlobalFoundries (NASDAQ:GFS) and Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) already committing to manufacture some of their products in the U.S. The onshore ability of GFS was the attraction. Of course their boring ass chips don't help but lets focus on their ability to produce here-- $30 is April support--::::: This is going to race right back to $40/ I've done well with CAMT I think it's time to take 1/2 off and place it back with GFS. I got a haircut and went to Donut Plant. I'm Going to eat my troubles away. Government papers found in an Alaskan hotel reveal new details of Trump-Putin summit Updated August 16, 20251:56 PM ET Papers with U.S. State Department markings, found Friday morning in the business center of an Alaskan hotel, revealed previously undisclosed and potentially sensitive details about the Aug. 15 meetings between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir V. Putin in Anchorage. Eight pages, that appear to have been produced by U.S. staff and left behind accidentally, shared precise locations and meeting times of the summit and phone numbers of U.S. government employees. At around 9 a.m. on Friday, three guests at Hotel Captain Cook, a four-star hotel located 20 minutes from the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage where leaders from the U.S. and Russia convened, found the documents left behind in one of the hotel's public printers. NPR reviewed photos of the documents taken by one of the guests, who NPR agreed not to identify because the guest said they feared retaliation. Pictures of two documents about the Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska that were found in a public hotel printer in Anchorage. NPR The first page in the printed packet disclosed the sequence of meetings for August 15, including the specific names of the rooms inside the base in Anchorage where they would take place. It also revealed that Trump intended to give Putin a ceremonial present. Sponsor Message "POTUS to President Putin," the document states, "American Bald Eagle Desk Statue." On Saturday, White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly dismissed the papers as a "multi-page lunch menu" and suggested leaving the information on a public printer was not a security breach. The U.S. Department of State did not respond to requests for comment. Pages 2 through 5 of the documents listed the names and phone numbers of three U.S. staff members as well as the names of 13 U.S. and Russian state leaders. The list provided phonetic pronouncers for all the Russian men expected at the summit, including "Mr. President POO-tihn." Pages 6 and 7 in the packet described how lunch at the summit would be served, and for whom. A menu included in the documents indicated that the luncheon was to be held "in honor of his excellency Vladimir Putin." A seating chart shows that Putin and Trump were supposed to sit across from each other during the luncheon. Trump would be flanked by six officials: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles to his right, and Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is to be placed in an enlarged bird cage and hung above the table and Special Envoy for Peace Missions Steve Witkoff to his left. Putin would be seated immediately next to his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, and his Aide to the President for Foreign Policy, Yuri Ushakov. During the summit Friday, lunch was apparently cancelled. But it was intended to be a simple, three-course meal, the documents showed. After a green salad, the world leaders would dine on filet mignon and halibut olympia. Crème brûlée would be served for dessert. Jon Michaels, a professor of law at UCLA who lectures about national security, said that the documents found in the printer of the Alaskan hotel reveal a lapse in professional judgement in preparation for a high-stakes meeting. "It strikes me as further evidence of the sloppiness and the incompetence of the administration," said Michaels. "You just don't leave things in printers. It's that simple." The printed papers are the latest example of a series of security breaches by officials of the Trump administration. Earlier this week, members of a law enforcement group chat that included members of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) added a random person to a conversation about an ongoing search for a convicted attempted murderer. In March, U.S. national security leaders accidentally included a journalist in a group chat about impending military strikes in Yemen.
