Been playing quite a bit lately, Now beating all my friends consistently. I notice that even though I don't want to, the closer I stand to the ball the more accurate I am and I really don't lose distance.

 

I believe that Rickie Fowler will win the PGA.

 

So how much farther are your drives?
What I remember is it should be 2.5 yards per mph gained.

 

On average I would say I have increased drives 40 yards. I have improved accuracy by standing a little closer to the ball and turning my back to the target.

 

Nice!! Much easier to make approach shots with a wedge than a long iron.

 

it has helped my scores but I think as much as anything , I am hitting the ball much straighter now.

 

I believe that by standing closer , I am not reaching out and swinging "outside in".

 

Right; Just when you figure you've got it, it all goes to hell.

Very humbling game. Very frustrating game. I can't think of anything else I'd rather do.
