As the saying goes: at the core of liberalism is the spoiled child. Which is validated here all day, every day.

" Each State is allocated a number of Electors equal to the number of its U.S. Senators (always 2) plus the number of its U.S. Representatives (which may change each decade according to the size of each State's population as determined in the Census). "

This means there is at least a ten year delay between local, disproportionate population surges, and representation. This means the electoral college favors legacy voters who are generally older, who have more skin in the game, having been around longer. This makes it harder to gerrymander national elections with manufactured tides of immigration, which do not represent a natural birth rate.

The electoral college functions as designed, and rightly so. It purposely quantifies the quality of voters in an important and meaningful way, dare I say, the American way.

It would be unfair for one state to control all other states by exceeding a natural birth rate with unnatural (even worse, illegal) immigration rates, from out-of-country sources.
