  2. Why (Some) Powerful Creeps Are Finally Starting To Face Consequences
It took more than 20 women in all for the full measure of Weinstein’s monstrousness to become known.

It takes a village to bring down a powerful creep.

For Harvey Weinstein, it took Ashley Judd, who told The New York Times that during a breakfast meeting 20 years ago, Weinstein “appeared in a bathrobe and asked if he could give her a massage or she could watch him shower.” It took Laura Madden, who told the Times that Weinstein “prodded her for massages” in hotel rooms in 1991. It took Jessica Barth, who reported having a similar encounter with Weinstein, this time in 2011. It took Gwyneth Paltrow, who told The New York Times that, when she was 22, Weinstein ended a work meeting by “placing his hands on her and suggesting they head to the bedroom for massages.” It took Judith Godrèche, who said Weinstein asked for a massage, and then proceeded to try and take off her sweater. It took Mira Sorvino, who told the New Yorker that Weinstein once began massaging her, eventually “sort of chasing [her] around” in an attempt to do more. It took Rosanna Arquette, who said Weinstein tried to force her to give him a massage, finally grabbing her hand and pulling it toward his erect penis. It took Asia Argento, an Italian actress and director, who said Weinstein asked her for a massage, and then proceeded to force her legs open and perform oral sex on her as she protested.

Honestly reads like some aggressive foreplay more than anything

Ok, persistent sumabitch (I wouldn't expect less of him looking like that), and quite a bit more no's than I'm comfortable with, but he's still pleading. Obviously the whole employer/employee and holding refusal of transparent advances over her head throws a wrench in things.

Some guys have looks, others have charm or wit, and the ugly ones generally labeled creeps have to make do... Often with money and power. All I'm saying is she's meeting him a second time after he's already gotten to 1st base... What else is he supposed to think?

I have friends in the massage business, a couple, who mostly taught in retreat centers. One day he opened up to me privately, saying it was foreplay (first and last time he ever said that). There was another day when a client came to his wife, who was practicing out of their home. Later, she told me she had a major problem with him throwing off his towel covering, and insisting on a happy ending (he never got it). She also told me he introduced himself as an "evil developer", with a laugh. But she didn't tell me this till after she gave him my phone number, after i had bid on one of his projects, and after he had ripped me off more than anybody in the 20 years i had been in construction. I can't blame her as i had my own red flags flying that indicated this guy was bad news. Weinstein, more than anybody since, reminds me of this type of dude. While i was being ripped off, i attended one of their teaching retreats, and accidentally left the dudes business card on the common table. Later, i found the card and someone had added "evil" to the developers last name. I asked my friend if she had written it. She said no. So there was another massage practitioner at the retreat who had experience with this guy. Long story short, i experienced just how ruthlessly brutal these predators can be when they think they have the power.

Generally speaking, anyone not practicing massage as a business (free massage) is apt to see massage as foreplay. Clearly, Weinstein expected women to also see that it was foreplay, and if not, put them in a compromised position, trying to blur boundary lines. It's a lot like giving drugs because massage induces a cocktail of endorphin's.

If Weinstein is anything like the predator that pushed my business toward collapse, he deserves the hammer, and hard.

  5. You may have missed a few, not the least of which being this serial abuser of women, but don't let your bias get in the way of pushing the agenda.

Right, you mean the non child rapist part, that was in relation to sexual assault and harassment, given the title of this thread, I thought it was obvious

The misdoings in the Hollywood film industry is likely to run and run.
Apparently it has been going on for decades but the wealthy intimidated the victims with high powered lawyers etc.
Might make a great film ?????????????

  9. I for one am shocked that if you throw high-powered alpha males together with nubile young women, they will try to have sex. Or that the older males will try to use inducements other than looks and virility to get the young women into bed.

I am also shocked that male movie stars would "grope" women. Seriously, how else are you supposed to find out if they are up for some action? I can tell you that when women routinely throw themselves at you, sometimes the lines can get blurred. Sometimes a smile is just a friendly gesture but if your whole life it has meant something else, it is easy to make a mistake.

You SAID Trump admitted to child rape.

Where can we go where you can put cash down on such statements, so we can find out how much you are willing to back it up? Hopefully we can empty your bank account, but you would probably never bet that much on such statements.
