Have all the anti-gun-rights twits finished starting new threads?

My mistake, I guess I misread.

I still don't see why EVERYONE wouldn't have the right. To enjoy their 2nd amendment RIGHT to carry though.

I have no problem with people not agreeing with me or having a totally different view. However, I have noticed that once few of these posters start running out of arguments, or when I say something that pisses them off, it always ends up with some kind of an insult.

Absolutely. I don't like getting robbed or assaulted either. Why wouldn't I be afforded the same protections?

Thank God that the Founders realized there were zealots like RedDuke, et al who would have the populace disarm at the risk of losing freedom. I know they will laugh at that statement but it is only because they are not very bright and don't know history or decide to ignore it.

We have a right guaranteed by the Constitution and all their yammering and stomping of feet isn't going to change that.

2nd amendment gives me the right to bear arms, then state and local governments can define what is allowed/appropriate and what is not for a particular area.

Let's say concealed carry is vital to me feeling secure, there is absolutely nothing that stops me from leaving NYC and moving to Pennsylvania for example.

I happen to love NYC and feel safe without a gun on me, it is my choice.

If carry would be so important to residents, then they would outvote current legislators and elect the new ones who would change the laws.

I personally would not like to live in a city where every other person carries a gun. Too many people are dumb and careless.

According to the SCOTUS I think, the 2nd amendment doesn't say that so far as I'm aware.
In theory that is how it should work. In practice, not always.

But you're OK with the criminals being armed?

    How about the police?

I happen to study history a lot. Btw, one of my favorite subjects.

I said it before, and will repeat it again, Semi automatic AR15 and the like will not help against government should it turn against citizens. The weapons that might help, are prohibited from hands of citizens already. It is not me not being bright, it is you who are naive and a bit brain washed.

Then I'll repeat it again. They would absolutely make a difference and they're essential to help avoid government tyranny.

I also enjoy history BTW, predominantly military history.

Unfortunately, you are absolutely correct about the process.

Of course I am not, but criminals do not care about any laws. That being said, most of armed robberies end up without any casualties. Criminals usually interested in getting your wallet and not shooting you.

Let's say you have a gun, but someone comes from the back and points a gun at you and ask for your wallet. You won't even have a chance to use your gun. As he back away, would you pull a gun and try to shoot him?
