I'm sure this has been asked in years past, but doesn't hurt to update aspirations given inflation Assuming you have built up a large enough trading account. And the only constraints are your trading method scalability and personal risk tolerance. Realistically, on average how much ($$$ USD) profit would you like to make per year. And if you are already making this much then congratulations!
Only a minority of people will be prepared to say and even then some of those will be lying. So results for that kind of question will never be accurate.
cnbc once did a video about what is the average salary per year that ppl needs to make to be ok in america. it said anything more than that won't make you happier. of course, it would be different for big cities like nyc, sf, boston, la etc. but they come up with $75k/year for most average american.
I'm surprised to see such a noobie-type poll from an experienced trader. It's a bit like a new guy to "game" asking experienced players "How many women do you aim to bang every year?" Traders who earn a living from this field know that as soon as they start thinking in terms of "I want to make $X this year" then it's detrimental to their trading cos their focus changes for the worse. They start thinking more emotionally, start revenge trading, doubling down etc to meet their annual "target". It's about following the process and the strategy correctly, and the $'s made at the end, are the reward that comes as a result of following the right risk management, right money management, trade setup and adjustments etc.
