Guys, there's no time to decide whether or not it's real. Once it starts coming out, the cop gets tunnel vision, and is immediately in a fight or flight situation. And missing the red indicator at the muzzle?:eek: Here in FL, my Son puts his airsoft rifles in the trunk, as the indicator is now black, and these things look and FEEL like the real deal.
No, they come orange/red. The serious airsoft guys always remove the indicator as they use these in airsoft wars, battles in buildings, etc., I'll note, once I removed the orange flash hider from my Son's Colt M4 (is gas blow back too, wow!), it's always cased, and is only out when they're doing their airsoft wars. I will point out, if someone ran through a neighborhood with one of these, I can see where someone could shoot them quickly. I'm on the fence about the airsoft guns. Of course, I always knew to never fathom pulling even a water pistol on cops. The dumbing of America, and removal of values...
First thing the leftist media needs to do is stop calling this a toy. A BB gun is not a toy. Lets try a little experiment with some leftist media type. I shoot them in the face with a BB gun and then ask them if they still think it's a toy? Secondly, every 12 year old knows, especially inner city kids know, if a cop tells you to raise your hands and you go for the gun in your belt, you're pretty much done. Nearly every person I know is concerned about the militarization of our police force. All are concerned about how quickly a cop will pull his gun and start blasting. All are concerned about these militarized invading forces kicking down our doors on the thinnest of evidence. However, this is not a racial issue, it's a government oppression issue. What happened to this kid is a result of him having learned no respect for authority and being a dumbass punk. That combination will eventually get you killed, if not by the law, by some other dumbass punk.
I've seen those AirSoft guns at the store. Without the barrel contrast indicator, nobody would be able to distinguish them from a real gun at any distance at all.
I can turn the lights out in the room, and literally can't tell the difference between his Colt airsoft blowback (VERY realistic), and my Colt M4LE. Mind blowing! The feel is spot on, and I literally have him put a piece of red tape on the muzzle when stored, as I don't want to confuse one of these for the real deal, if needed.
It's a hell of a way to start the week, no question! And damn, I would fall down if someone would just get that message out to the masses! Everyone's thinking it, but are just too scared of the PC cops to do anything about it. I do believe that once people say to those who do this garbage, "we're tired of hearing the same broken record, and are completely tired of this insanity," the problems will drop considerably. If the black community had a REAL LEADER who could make the lunacy behavior uncool, the shit would come to a halt quickly...
There will have to be a controlled experiment. Find two boys, one white and one black. Dress them both alike. Give them both a "toy" gun. Place them both on a playground (asphalt or otherwise). Call the cops and report these boys and their "guns". See which one the cops shoot.
