I see NQ previous close @ 11469.25,would 11469.25*0.95 the down limit? I tried to place an limit order slightly above this number a few minutes ago, but was told "The order price is outside of the allowable price limits" by IB TWS. Do I miss anything?
https://www.cmegroup.com/trading/price-limits.html#equityIndex Then search for NQ and find your month.
Just to make it more clear, that table shows that the 5% down limit for NQZ0 is 10916.75. Where did they get that? And what is the "Reference Price" from the previous column (11492.00)? The reference price seems to be based on the "fixing price", which is mentioned higher up on the same page, the 3rd bullet: The fixing price is the volume weighted average price, VWAP, calculated during the 30 seconds of trading from 2:59:30 p.m. – 3:00:00 p.m. CT. View Equity Index Fixing Prices page So the limits aren't based on the close price. Hope that helped....
Thanks a lot for the clarification! One more question: The fixing 11492*95% = 10917.4, still different from 10916.75?
Hahahaha, no clue, I just look at the tables. If you send an email to cme, let us know what they say....
Hmmm, how is that page helpful? It mentions "Settlement Price" but doesn't point to a definition, or even the current Settlement Price and resulting limits. Did you even read the OP's post or any of the thread?
https://www.cmegroup.com/trading/eq...ni-nasdaq-100_quotes_settlements_futures.html Wow that wasn't so hard. now calculate it yourself champ.
Haha, learn how to effing read. This is for 10/5 which is the relevant date: And now YOU answer the OP's question, effing millennial loser.
