2 questions, what happened to the huge trader that started this thread (1360 in April!!??) and where do we go from here? answer to the 1st, I guess this guy is still liquidating his "huge" buys, and # 2 who knows. The mkt should have cracked here, but hasn't.. I still say there is no way we reach a new high on the spoo or the dow, but we could have a reflex/dead cat from here that could get it back over 1300 for a short while, I am 60% cash and 20/20 so i'm watching, but for the all knowing out here, i'm interested in where we go from here till 2nd 1/4's start coming out? july earnings will be the harbinger of the future...

to answer you're qustion more in depth, I think seasonals, plus macro issues are going against the tide here. I am basically mkt neutral, so I really think we are going to muddle around for the summer, and then the bear regains its claws. We had a 3+ year cyclical bull and its on its last last legs. GM,AA, CAT all hitting multi or all time highs, the airlines (which I am short from the last 3 days) breaking down...all classic tops, and i'm not 200% short.. I'm confused, I will admit it

'n'here it is not a q. of being a perma bull, fact is that it is very tough to be a bear in this mkt...i was bullish on katrina'n'right but was bearish on oct ...'n'wrong; after that i realized that there's nothin' that can take this mkt down, nothin'....earnings back then were just atrocious'n'yet mkt bounced nicely from da lows. right now eco is waaay stronger than any1 cud have possibly predicted...makin' a case for a bear mkt has no fundation at all. 'n'in case u missed, mr buffett just wrote a tiny insurance policy to some of u bears out there...just a 1/3of all his holdings...around 17bln of spoo puts sold with exp date 2008..sure da guy is wrong'n'u gonna take some of his money, innit[?]
