IB LOGIN problems today

  1. My connection solid as a rock, might be your ISP. IB TWS software monitors quality of
    connection and will do login/logout sequence when it thinks that connection is bad.

    You can see these re-logins in file log.txt in TWS directory. Maybe you ask IB_Help.
    I guess that connection is better if you use same ISP as IB does (uunet).

    Well, sometimes they use SPRINT (backup ISP) ...

  3. I had the same problem when I first joined IB. The problem was solved when I changed the NIC card to the one specified by IB.

    Logged out of IB a little after 10:00a.m., but my Sunnvale CA Qcharts server is plugging away just fine. Did we have another Internet spike?

  6. Avoid Linksys NIC which may have incompatible driver (with respect to Sun Java JRE and IB TWS).
