Republican party seeks to work with Obama, take revenge on conservatives. It could be a headline today. Rino's are in league with dems to destroy the country. And it's why I want nothing more to do with the republican party ever again.
Boehner moves to punish dissenters, despite past statements http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...to-punish-dissenters-despite-past-statements/ Speaker of the House John Boehner is apparently punishing Republicans who voted against his re-election Tuesday, despite previously saying he would not do so. Reps. Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent are both losing their seats on the House Rules Committee, Politico reported Tuesday evening. Both Florida Republicans voted for Webster instead of Boehner earlier in the day. Such moves seem to contradict recent statements made by Boehner and his office. Asked last week if any Republicans who voted against Boehner would be punished, spokesman Michael Steel told The Daily Caller by email: “Boehner has said publicly that there will be no retribution for ‘no’ votes.” In September, USA Today reported that Boehner “shot down fresh rumors that he will face a revolt from conservatives when he seeks a third term as speaker in January, and he dismissed suggestions that his leadership team would strip committee assignments from any GOP lawmaker who voted against him.” “I just don’t think it’s necessary,” Boehner said of punishing dissenters. Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert, who voted for himself for speaker on Tuesday, called Boehner a “sore winner,” citing the reported punishment. (More at above url)
Boehner takes revenge Foes find themselves losing plum committee posts. John Boehner is getting revenge. After he secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to some relatively unknown members of the Republican Conference, Boehner moved swiftly to boot two of the insurgents from the influential Rules Committee. That could be just the start of payback for the speaker’s betrayers, who might see subcommittee chairmanships and other perks fall away in the coming months. The reason for demoting the two Florida Republicans was simple: Webster ran against Boehner for speaker, distributing fliers outlining his candidacy and talking about how he would better adhere to the House rules than the Ohio Republican. Nugent supported his fellow Floridian in the quixotic endeavor, which garnered the support of 12 lawmakers. Webster didn’t even give Boehner a heads-up that he was running, although leadership was aware early Tuesday morning that it could happen. Congratulations on your enlightenment, brother Fhl! To all others, again I tell you: NEVER VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT. NEVER VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN. EITHER WAY, THE GOVERNMENT WINS.
When we get our "Castro" or "Putin", I wonder if our low information voters will be dancing in the streets or crying in the streets? Uh...I already know the answer. And don't be thinking that this dope, currently in the White House, is our "Castro"/"Putin". It will get far worse.
Isn't it interesting to see the modern R party in action. They get elected by a large part of the conservative base, then say "fuck you". This happened in 2010. It happened again. Cromnibus was a move to make concessions to the left, the cronies, and the corporatists BEFORE the newly elected members were seated. Boehner new this, and even lied to some about doing a CR if they sided with him, but then after gaining their support, went with the entire omnibus, funding many of the things the wave electorate did NOT want funded. I am reminded by his actions that he and his ilk hates conservatives and libertarians as much as the left does. Why was CNN, Pelosi, and even Obama so happy that his vote didn't go to a second round? Watching this leadership reminds me of how vicious Romney's attacks were on Newt. Moderates hate conservatives, and this latest action may be the one that destroys the republican party. No base, no party. Look at the last two elections. Look how many conservatives stayed home...twice. Obama should have easily been defeated, but moderates are showing themselves to be only slightly different then their counterparts on the other side of the isle, and the conservative base sees that, and in increasing numbers, are refusing to vote for them. I will be including myself in the next election if Romney or someone similar is on top of the ticket. I applaud Boehner for learning to fight like the left does. It's only too bad he directs his new found vigor at the conservatives (something he once was, before he was bought and paid for), instead of at the left who he is supposed to be fighting, not compromising with. Fuck bi-partisanship. That went out the door with the radicalization of the dem party. As my favorite constitutionalist says, why should we vote for those who support bi-partisanship in the pursuit of tyranny?
we need conservatives and old school liberals in D.C. not these crony hacks. We need to start 2 Primarily fiscally conservative and Primarily old school liberal. Low taxes... big freedom bigger economy.
