Ask him why he continues to be an HVAC repairman, too. That can't be helping.

Ask him why he owns a rifle but wants to ban all guns, too.

All the CO2 in fossil fuels came from the atmosphere in the first place. If all the fossil fuels were burned we would simply be returning to square one.

How is it climate has become a republican vs democrat issue? There should be no debate, it should all be based on science and not ideology.

true, but how is it climate change, which should be a scientific issue becomes a republican vs democrat issue?

Easy answer is, "Republicans are anti science."

and the republicans answer, "Anti Junk Science funded by liberal universities."

The real answer is that liberal groups have locked on to "climate change" as a way to extend the green movement. "Climate Change" provides these characters with leverage to push for all sorts of anti-business policies.

Corporate interests and hedge funds simply view climate change with the associated carbon tax, green investments, and regulatory (tax credit & green grant) measures as a way of making large sums of money via crony capitalism. They are thankful that the useful idiots of the liberal green movement have raised such a fuss that benefits their bottom lines.

Realistic Republicans are not "anti-science" - they are simply making the point that the scientific evidence for "climate change" grows weaker every year and spending billions in public funds to solve a non-existent problem is an absurd waste of tax payer money.

  8. The scientific evidence doesn't matter to moron righties. If it did they would not deny AGW. The scientific debate about it is over.

well said, I hear ya. I consider myself to be a hard core environmentalist. But I am pro business if it doesn't fuck up the environment. It's a delicate balance, because sometimes plants and animals like different things than humans need.
