The Dow closed at 12608.92 on the date of this quote (4/2). Today, six months and a couple days later, it closed at 9,447.11, or -25%. BTW, -30% from that date would be 8,836... Dow 9,000 is looking more realistic all the time... In fact, if anything, in another six months, a 50% decline from the high last year (for a Dow 7,000) doesn't seem that outrageous at all anymore.
and from the AIG testimony today ...we could see dow zero, zilcho, please turn off the lights and close the door on the way out.....its going to be ugly and then slow grinding days ahead....
