    True;
    and olympic target shooters may shoot 500 rounds per day-practice- but not a real game/match . And in trading one can get on a good trend + make up plenty of loss; not so in olympic target shooting- you cant be too fast or to slow. And in Trading +investing, plenty of people make money fast or slow, investing anyway.
    Any such thing as an athlete that does not practice-not likely??:cool::cool:

    paper trading does not allow you to understand how algos even on a 1 lot in the futures or currencies will come looking for you by cancelling orders in the book. The cancel is the most powerful order type which is never tallked about. You do not get that in paper trading. Every single trade 1 lot etc is part of the system and is mapped accordingly.

    Even worse than paper trading; is sim...Something else not talked about much; paper trading can kick any out of a losing streak-much better than real trading.

    CME notes it [cancel abuse]sometimes; especially with a large fine. I see your points.

    Of course if one has an average win rate, paper trading may not help @ all.I'm not going to disrespect paper trading too much; i like /use Federal Reserve Notes.:cool::cool:

    stock trading is also a profitable business if you understand and know which deals to make. each his own, his own not each
