TreeFrogTrader The Israelis are warriors and want to at least fight rather than die hoveled away in some existence with a ticking time bomb in the background. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are your warriors .... hiding in bunkers like little pussies.
Note; they may be sleeping in their own beds - but not on their own land. And Iranian (and Palestinian) civilians in way higher numbers meanwhile ... get to die. More of the latter died yesterday but the focus is now on Iran. All because they have the audacity to want what the Jews have - and U.S., France, U.K., China, Russia, India, Pakistan, North Korea. A deterrence against an invading, dominating nation .... so what happened to Iraq, Afghanistan, VietNam, etc doesn't happen to them.
Let's take a little trip back into history. The Jews in Israel were willing to live in peace with their neighbors. However their neighbors attempted to wipe them off the face of the earth multiple times since the country was created in 1948. The neighboring countries lost all of their wars -- losing land in the process. Hence we have arrived at the situation where we are today. At this point, Israelis -- except for settlers in the West Bank -- are sleeping on their own land.
The Jews were given land by countries that had no right to give them. There was no M. E. conflict before that all took place. And to think one of the bedrocks of civil Democracy is property rights.
You mean the countries that won WW2 and saved the world from Hitler? How many troops did residents of that part of the world supply on D-Day? Or in N. Africa?
Maybe you need to go read the history of the region prior to WW2. There was plenty of conflict between all sorts of groups in the area during the times it was ruled by the Ottoman empire, Turks, and others. The reality is that every Muslim ethnic group in the region prior WW2 expended an significant amount of energy trying to kill their local neighbors -- who were either another Muslim ethnic minority, Christians, or Jews.
