One can wonder how the international community let Iran arm and finance a militia, whose primary goal is the destruction of Israel, to develop like a cancer in a 3rd country, Lebanon.

There's no question in my mind that weakening Hezbollah will create a vacuum of power that Lebanon's other factions will try to take advantage of. But no wars can be without weapons and ammo. The international community's role should be to enforce a blockade of weapons other than to the Lebanese army.

Regardless, Israel should not have to bare the brunt of the international community's lack of willpower to prevent Iran's active military support of Hezbollah. On October 7, 2023, Hamas sparked a war of no return that will take Israel wherever it needs to go to ensure it never happens again.

So Sad. The terrorists are broke.

Hezbollah runs out of money following repeated Israeli strikes - report
The findings reportedly identified Hezbollah's main source of income as coming from the Lebanese banking institution Al-Qard al-Hasan.
    https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/article-824413

Hezbollah has been allegedly faced with severe financial difficulties as a result of Israeli military actions that have targeted their funding sources, according to an exclusive Voice of America report.

According to the Friday VOA report, the findings of the Lebanese terror group’s financial struggles came after speaking to US and Lebanon-based researchers, along with alleged US Treasury Department reports.

The findings reportedly identified Hezbollah’s main source of income as coming from the Lebanese banking institution Al-Qard al-Hasan (AQAH).

According to the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, AQAH had “grown into a major institution with branches in Hezbollah’s southern Beirut stronghold of Dahiyeh and other Hezbollah-dominated parts of Lebanon,” the report said.

The researchers also said that Hezbollah had other financial sources through Lebanon’s licensed commercial banks and from arrivals of “cash-bearing” planes at Beirut’s airport, according to the report.

VOA’s report of Hezbollah’s lack of funding has come after Israel has reportedly escalated its attacks on the terror group’s assets, including airstrikes on AQAH’s branches, causing significant damage.

AQAH has operated as a key financial institution since its founding in 1982 and has grown into a major source of funding for Hezbollah’s operations, according to the report.

    'A very serious financial problem'
“Hezbollah is facing a very serious financial problem. They are unable to pay rank-and-file members who have fled their homes and need to feed their families,” said Hilal Khashan, a Lebanese political science professor.

Furthermore, Lebanese finances have also been strained due to a loss of access to its banking system. According to the report, many of Lebanon’s wealthiest bankers, who may have facilitated Hezbollah’s money laundering activities, have fled the country, fearing Israeli reprisals.

“These Lebanese bankers, most of them billionaires, see the wind is blowing against Hezbollah, so they are not going to let it take millions of dollars out of their banks,” David Asher, a former US official, reportedly said.

“I’m hearing from Lebanese bankers, including Hezbollah financiers, that Lebanon’s wealthiest bankers who can afford to fly have fled to Europe and the Gulf, fearing they could be targeted next by Israel for helping Hezbollah,” Asher noted.

“I’ve heard from my Israeli counterparts that the Iranians are scared to send money to Lebanon right now because Israel is threatening to target flights into Beirut. The Israelis are warning they will target flights full of money, not just weapons,” he added.

Additionally, the report noted that flights carrying cash from Iran to Hezbollah had been interrupted by Israel’s intensified air patrols over Beirut’s airport. Israel warned it will target flights suspected of carrying money or weapons.

However, despite the alleged financial hit that Hezbollah has been faced with, the group has appeared to keep its determination to fight intact.

“Keeping up the fight depends more on the availability of food and ammunition. When your fight is motivated by religious zeal, you have more fundamental issues to worry about than the availability of cash,” said Kashan in the report.

In terms of the Lebanese government’s role, it has started to exert more control over Beirut’s airport and cargo shipments, inspecting flights to ensure compliance with Lebanese laws and to prevent the smuggling of cash or weapons to Hezbollah, the report noted.

The U.N. had one job... and they failed to do it. Now it is up to Israel to clean up the mess.

Similar to UNRWA the U.N. UNIFIL "peace keeping" organization is nothing more than a terrorist supporting effort.

‘Hezbollah’s best friend’: WSJ editorial slams UNIFIL for focusing energy on Israel, not terrorism
Noting that UNIFIL “had one job: Keep armed terrorists out of southern Lebanon,” the editorial board attributed the new expansion of the war to UNIFIL’s failure to fulfil its duty.

UN peacekeepers have failed to stop Hezbollah’s terrorism from taking root in Lebanon, the Wall Street Journal’s editorial board charged in a condemning editorial published on Tuesday.

Noting that UNIFIL “had one job: Keep armed terrorists out of southern Lebanon,” the editorial board attributed the new expansion of the war to UNIFIL’s failure to fulfil its duty.

Further condemning the peacekeepers, the board noted that UNIFIL was now refusing to fight to remove terrorists or move from bases with Hezbollah infrastructure - putting their staff at risk of being caught in the crosshairs.

Hezbollah began launching rockets at Israel on October 8, a day after Hamas invaded southern Israel and massacred over 1200 people. The rocket and drone attacks forced Israel to evacuate tens of thousands of residents and saw a number of civilians killed. In one of the most devastating attacks, a Hezbollah drone killed 12 Druze children in the town of Majdal Shams.

Since beginning ground operations in Lebanon, the IDF has discovered underground tunnels into Israel and plans for the terror group to enact its own Oct.7-style attack.

Noting that much of the damage inflicted by Hezbollah occurred “under UNIFIL’s nose,” the Journal’s board accused the UN mission of “getting in Israel’s way” - continuing to condemn Israel for damage sustained while ignoring military instructions to remove itself from areas inhabited by Hezbollah.

The numerous complaints of injuries to peacekeepers by UNIFIL has led to international condemnation against the Jewish state - Which the editorial board noted highly benefited the terror group shielding itself behind the UN workers.

“Hezbollah couldn’t have scripted it better,” the board wrote, noting that UNIFIL had put more energy into condemning Israel than fulfilling its purpose of preventing Hezbollah from building a stronghold.

The issues raised by the Journal’s editorial board mirror those raised by the Jerusalem Post’s editorial team on Wednesday.

“Given that UNIFIL has done little to prevent Hezbollah from bombarding Israel from southern Lebanon since October 8, and given that it did nothing to report Hezbollah’s massive buildup in the region over the years, the claim by the European foreign ministers that the organization is a force for stability, is utterly baseless,” the Post’s editorial team wrote, also insisting that “UNIFIL, to ensure that its personnel are not harmed, should withdraw from southern Lebanon.”

Yes of course, just keep quoting the Israeli opinion about their justification for killing civilians.

We already know most of Israel's population agree with Netanyahu killing thousands of Palestinians in the name of freedom, and you are also one of them.

It's been often mentioned, Israel is the new Nazi party.
Biden and many Americans think Netanyahu is saving Israel and somehow saving America.
