  1. Excellent Ripley :)

Seriously though. If you had to say what caused you to not make money in the markets could you?

PS. Even if you can't, thanks for an excellent thread thats given me great amusement.

  2. I am STILL a novice. I came to the futures markets without knowing my ass from my elbow. That has to be the #1 reason.

But all along, I knew I was going to not only succeed but hit the ball way out of the park. B/c thats just my nature.

I finally started to Break Even on my trading.. trading last couple of months. And finally started to be profitable. The SKY is the limit for me from here in futures trading.

  5. and i will add:

when we see the price moving up for a little while think buy.
when we see the price moving down for a little while think sell.
when we see the price doing both think both buy and sell.
when we see we are losing regroup.
when we see we are making money don't stop.
when we expect ET forums to give us the goldmine step out and kick our own behinds until our legs quit moving...:D :D :D

It is much easier to trade system's calls in comparison to discretion based decisions, where all sorts of errors of judgement will be present and which do cause a lot of frustration which in turn lead to inability to make consistent positive ROI in trading. Questions to ask yourself are same ole stuff - do i have a good system? Do I have enough capital? Can I be a disciplined trader? It's as simple as that. That's why when somebody says trading is easy, which in itself can be interpreted in quite a few ways, that person is laughed at by the majority. I spend many hours on research, though I would say that trading is easy for me, because I primarily just follow my system, which generates positive ROI, does yours? And before anybody starts having another laugh, you are welcome to monitor my live calls, which I sometimes make on ET, not including "Wunder J" of course, that's for gifted traders only. All the best.
