There are better forms of self-therapy, ya know. I wish you well in your transition away from the financial markets. There's a lot more ahead of you in life than merely this :>)
yeah? like sign up for your $395/month signal service? or your $3,995 trading course? I love vendors. They are what makes ET, truly ELITE. Can ya believe there are more vendors amongst ourselves than traders? I mean? we could even be called: elitevendors and still be OK.
IMO, its joe blow in his bathrobe at home contantly getting swept from one extreme to the other. I think the trick is being reactive to overcorrections rather than trying to guess which way it will go. "Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity". -Bullet Tooth Tony, Snatch
Ripster, I'm not sure who you're venting at there, but those prices sure ain't me. I am truly sorry you washed out of our profession. Sad to hear that. My sincere condolences. Please take great care of yourself now, ya hear? Be good
trading successfully requires overcoming instinct. Very few are able to do this and that is why so many fail. When you learn to go with whatever the market gives you and stop trying to impose your will on the market, and stop guessing where the market will go next, is when you will start making money. For most people this is almost impossible, and that is why so few can make money consistently.
in hindsite this market is easy to make money. had you just got long and stayed long you made great money. how much easier could it be?
I haven't been around a decade yet like some other guys, but I'm putting my effort into management of trades. It seems like there are thousands of ways to get signals, ie. any combo of gauging trend in your time frame through price action and buying or selling with a momentum indicator will work often enough. What seems to separate success from failure seems to be the management plan. When I stick to my signals and stick to management rules I do alright. I of need to learn the discipline to manage myself and my trades. Anyway that's where my effort is going. Jimbo
