SA, Brazil is still much more dependent on the US than you think. This is because China is so dependent on the US consumer. Consumption is basically flat in Europe, and way too small in developing countries even though it is growing. If the US collapses, so does China. If the commodity market tanks, so does Brazil. Although Brazil is much better diversified than in the past, it is still heavily dependent on exports of raw materials. They need the US to stay strong. AT east for another decade or so. Maybe consumption on the consumer level (which China needs, and hence Brazil will need), will be large enough elsewhere then.
