It's hard hearing friends making profits, and I am losing money.

If its just their luck that they are making profits, then you should disconnect with them, don't get carried away with the things they are doing, you are just hurting your mental peace.

The average man doesn’t wish to be told that it is a bull or a bear market. What he desires is to be told specifically which particular stock to buy or sell. He wants to get something for nothing. He does not wish to work. He doesn’t even wish to have to think.

In other words, don't listen to other peoples recommendations, and if you do, try to forget it as fast as possible.

What kind of trading are you doing and for how long have you been trying to trade?

  6. Your emotions are so heightened and this can be bad for your own trading. calm yourself and then focus. you will see the difference.

Trade what you believe and not on tips. Continuously working on improving your method. Document all your actions so that you can review them at a later date. It's a long and arduous process. No one except yourself can dig out of this hole. If it's that easy, why bother getting a job.

I've been trading for four years parttime on and off, lost a lot of money, now I tried to be trade more systematically and treat it as a business, but over the years,i picked up a lot of bad habit, specially on the mental side. in real life I am a calm and patience person, but in trading I becomes a maniac. been trying to change that, with friends like that certainly doesn't help.

It’s easy to compare your whole reality to some one else’s 1/2 reality and feel bad. It’s human nature. You have to try to rise above it.

support groups where you can talk honestly about things help but they are hard to develop the trust required.
