It's over. Historical bull run has come to an end.

  1. I'm waiting 1 or a few days, then "buying" (fake paper trading) call option on S&P. Expiration date in May or June.

Or maybe I'll sell a put to take advantage of time decay also?

I wouldn't be surprised if stocks were flat this week. Don't think they'll be positive, but don't think huge negative losses either. And if they are huge negative, that's great cause it's on sale!

"In Italy total patient numbers rose to 1,694 after the Civil Protection Agency revealed roughly 500 fresh positive tests this evening - an alarming 50 per cent climb in just 24 hours."

Well it definitely hasn't peaked in Italy yet. I think Italy will be a more relevant case study for how bad this thing can get before it peaks.
Hopefully the hotter weather will slow this thing down.

Over 1,000 after the China manufacturing numbers, for the YM. Lowest numbers in history. The market was not expecting that.

Yeah, but Norway has a case now. Still kinda' warm in Antarctica, relatively speaking. Might be better choice. :)

Yeah, but you've got to convince them to let your germy ass in to their little quarantined corner of the world. I'm thinking you'd need to arrive with a lot of booze...

The monthly purchasing managers’ index issued by the Chinese statistics agency and an industry group fell to 35.7 from January’s 50 on a 100-point scale on which numbers below 50 indicate activity contracting.

Now everyone is talking about how we cant rely on just China to produce products for the world, well the only people to blame for that are corporate executives who want to make the most profits and revenues for their bottom lines... This has been ongoing for nearly 4 decades...now we finally get to witness what happens when China crawls to a stop.

I mentioned numerous times that without china world economic growth is worthless, without china we have no world economy. China is the world and without them the entire global infrastructure is totally helpless. And this is a fact. These last few weeks are absolute truth that China is the leader.

Watch the fed step in if you are right on that 1000 point futures drop... They have to, all central banks will step in....and I think they will come up with some crazy gimmicks to engineer something totally different the markets have never seen. I'm sure they are coming up with some great ways to create a floor under this market like they did in 2009
