    You're being too clever.

Calling Dimon a "socialist" is turning a capitalists' tactic on themselves. Well done! :D

  2. Sadly, it's not a tactic, just a statement of fact.

If a bank is Too Big To Fail - by definition that means it is being backed by government support (which means taxpayers).

    That means - Socialist.

Just because it's a bank doesn't mean it can't be socialist. They are not mutually exclusive.

The only difference is the charade of the CEO's who try and pose as defenders of Capitalism when the reality is more "Welfare Queens".

Although Welfare Queens don't get as much $$$ ....

  3. Actually if it were truly socialist, the American people would have at least nationalized the insolvent banks when we bailed them out. I'd say this is more like outright theft - we bail them out, the oligarchs take our money and go back to business as usual.

oligarchs eh? do you think ceos like dimon and blankfein learned from the russian oligarchs and were using bush and obama as their strawmen. now shed a tear as obama turns on them.

for the record congress should never have allowed bailouts in the first place.

  5. That is an interesting thought......

Bankers are not popular among most of the population right now. If Obama wants a second term, he might resort to really prosecuting them. He needs the votes now, not the money - so the bankers have served their purpose for him.

Maybe some strategist figures that if some high level bankers start ending up in jail right before the election, he is a lock on the votes...

  7. The feigned outrage of the Wall Street Bankers is just too rich for words. A video is more appropriate to display this phony fight between Obama and Wall Street. The last minute in slow mo is a must see.

He'd most definitely lock in my vote if he manages to put both Blankfein and Corzine in the slammer by election day. :D
