Joe Biden - The Fake President

  1. Yeh, I dunno. They are in a pickle.

It reminds me of what Thomas Jefferson said about slavery. "It is like having a wolf by the ears. You don't dare to hold on, and you don't dare to let go." He knew there were consequences either way.

Similarly, many of the progressives have a wolf by the ears. You have the hard core ones in there but also ones that did not dare to not be part of it but do not dare to leave either even though they want that tattoo removed from their forehead before midterms. They are all on board for passing something good and acceptable to the folks back home and does not include things that can be stuck up their arse during the campaign. So there are lots of so-called progressives who desperately want out of this scenario at some reasonable funding level- of course reasonable is all relative, eh. But if the loon squad-types keep going and add payments to mexicans for american war crimes and all of that then they know they are writing their own death warrants.

As discussed, they thought they were there. By agreeing to take a quarter of what Bernie/Aoc wanted, which was 6 trillion, or half of what more of them wanted which was 3.5 and now they are down to what, 1.5-1.8 or the like. And the Virginia thing has been discussed to death, nevertheless, it is true that pubs are going to feel like history is on their side if they win there and that will not make them more flexible. And it will be scary to the non-squad progressives too because it means they are in deep doo doo if their party leaders hand them a mess to campaign on. VA is not even a swing or purple state and they are in trouble there. How much risk do dems have in AOC'S or jayampal's districts. ZEEEEEEEEEERO.

Keeps getting messier too. Yellen just broke with Biden and advised that they go with a dem-only vote on the debt ceiling.

And Joe told everyone that he was off to Europe and needed to see a win in VA and passage of the bills whlle he was gone or else his entire presidency was on the line, his words, not the pundits.

WOMP!!!!!!!!!! I love the smell of poll numbers going south in the morning.

  6. Kamala talks about the dems big wins last night.

"I will say this: We had great wins," Harris said on Wednesday. "We have Eric Adams in New York...."

Jeeezz.......way to go girl. That campaign against Curtis Sliwa was grueling wasn't it?
But you dems hung in there and left everything on the field until you won. On the other hand if Kamala and Joe had actually gotten involved in that race, Curtis probably would have won.

Anyway, congratulations on your "great win" there.

Joe Biden ‘clearly senile’, claims former Cameron aide Steve Hilton

The Fox News host made a rare UK media appearance on The Telegraph's Planet Normal podcast, saying the Biden presidency 'is dead'

David Cameron's former director of strategy joined Telegraph columnists Allison Pearson and Liam Halligan on their weekly podcast, featuring news and views from beyond the bubble
President Joe Biden is suffering from “senility” and is so "wildly unpopular" he is boosting Donald Trump's re-election chances, Steve Hilton, David Cameron’s former spin doctor, has said.

Mr Hilton told The Telegraph's Planet Normalpodcast - which you can listen to using the audio player above - that he believed Mr Biden’s mental acuity and failure to get bills passed in Congress will likely doom the Democrats to a single term.

“People say don’t be mean, he's an old man, you can't call him senile. I do call him senile because he clearly is senile,” said Mr Hilton, who served Mr Cameron’s director of strategy from 2010-2012 before moving to the United States.

Mr Biden, who at 78 is the oldest president in US history, appeared to fall asleep at the climate summit in Glasgow this week.

Concerns have been raised about Mr Biden’s mental - and physical - faculties, with him often mixing up and forgetting names.

Mr Hilton, who has risen to become one of the most influential voices on Fox News, likened the Biden presidency to the famous Monty Python dead parrot sketch. “This was the week it became clear that the Biden presidency is in fact, dead. It’s not resting,” he said.

He added that the president’s “mental lapses” were troubling for “someone who holds the most high profile and demanding jobs in the world.”

“Even in his scripted remarks, he clearly loses his train of thought,” he said, speaking to the latest episode of Planet Normal. “If you wanted to get Donald Trump re-elected. You would go about it exactly the way that Biden is right now.”

Mr Hilton said he believed Mr Biden’s poor performance on vote-winning issues such as immigration and the economy would likely cost him the 2024 election. “I think that it's all being set up perfectly for him (Trump) to come back if he wants to,” the 52-year-old said.

Mr Hilton, who was born in the UK to Hungarian parents, has presented a weekly show on Fox News since declaring his support for Mr Trump in the 2016 election.

Feckless Biden's presidency is already a failure

The Democratic defeat in Virginia was a verdict in part on his inability to unite a fractious nation

At the height of the summer’s crisis in Afghanistan, when the fate of thousands of Americans was hanging in the balance, US President Joe Biden’s inability to provide decisive leadership was a key factor behind the chaotic withdrawal.

From the moment it became clear in early August that the Taliban was on the brink of seizing control of the country, all of the Biden administration’s key players, from the Pentagon to the State Department, were involved in frantic efforts to devise a workable plan for ending America’s involvement in the conflict. The only problem was that, while officials worked round the clock devising policy options, their efforts were hampered by Mr Biden’s woeful indecision.

Time and again senior officials and military officers put forward their plans for extricating American forces and assets, only to be met with silence from the Oval Office, where the nation’s commander-in-chief seemed oblivious to the enormity of the crisis. The result was one of the most humiliating episodes in modern American history, with Washington forced to abandon a staggering $85 billion worth of equipment as the Taliban seized control of the country.

Biden’s inept handling of the Afghan debacle is not the only example of a president who appears increasingly feckless in terms of his dealings with the outside world.

In the past few weeks alone he has forgotten the name of Australian prime minister Scott Morrison and misrepresented a key element of American policy on Taiwan, claiming that Washington would protect it from Chinese aggression, a remark that obliged the White House, Pentagon and State Department to issue clarifications that there had in fact been no change in Washington’s policy of “strategic ambiguity”.

The litany of gaffes not only point to a president who is apparently incapable of mastering the fast-moving pace of global politics. They are also part of the reason why, exactly a year after Mr Biden declared victory over Donald Trump, his presidency is already being deemed a failure, even though his term still has three years left to run.

The American public’s mounting disillusion with the Biden presidency was clearly a key factor in the Republicans’ surprise victory this week in winning the Virginia governorship, where Glenn Youngkin secured victory in a state that the Democrats had won by ten points just a year ago.

In a contest widely seen as an early test of Mr Biden’s first year in office, the president’s unimpressive performance, as well as the increasingly woke agenda pursued by his Democrat supporters, resulted in the Republicans securing a major breakthrough. The result could have profound implications for next year’s mid-term elections when the Republicans are hoping they can regain control of Congress, thereby limiting Mr Biden’s options even further.

At a local level Mr Youngkin’s success can be attributed to his criticism of the Democrats’ support for divisive woke issues. But there is also growing unease at a national level over the administration’s increasingly Left-wing agenda, with the White House seeking to push through a $1 trillion infrastructure bill through Congress, as well as a $1.8 trillion welfare and climate package.

Even some Democrats have expressed alarm at the size of the sums involved, with several demanding significant cuts before agreeing to lend their support.

There is also widespread disenchantment with Mr Biden’s failure to do what he promised in the presidential election, and tackle the deep divisions in America that were evident during the Trump era.

Instead of addressing issues that really concern voters, such as the violent crime wave blighting many of the country’s major cities, Mr Biden’s Democratic supporters have preferred to focus on provocative matters such as critical race theory, which argues that racism is endemic in all American institutions.

There is, consequently, a growing awareness among American voters that, far from healing the country’s wounds, Mr Biden’s administration has been exacerbating them through its tolerance of arguably the most Left-wing agenda in the country’s history.

Added to these concerns is the realisation that the 78-year-old Mr Biden is clearly struggling to fulfil his presidential duties, which is evident from his reluctance to engage directly with the media.

Senior officials also complain about the limited amount of time he spends working at the Oval Office, as well as his preference for spending long weekends at his family’s coastal retreat in Delaware.

The challenges facing modern-day America certainly demand far more than a part-time president, not to mention one who is not so prone to gaffes. So, unless Mr Biden can dramatically raise his game, he and his supporters will have to accept that, after less than a year in office, his presidency is doomed to failure.
