Yeh sure. Bringing in a full fledged commie who graduated from the University of Moscow on a Lenin Scholarship during the Soviet Era. Just hope she does not show up in her Young Pioneers uniform. But what am I thinking. Trump is the Russia, Russia, Russia president.
A pretty grim article on Kamala- FROM CNN. I squinted at it a little to see if it was an opinion piece or a republican guest columnist or something. Doesn't look that way. CNN is sort of a weasel. You may think that they will never turn on a candidate and work against them if they are a democrat. Not necessarily true though. They will not turn on one that they are supporting but when they get the slightest whiff of a leftier and more electable candidate or the need to find one they will trash the previous one at minutes notice. You will recall that they backed Hillary and she could do no wrong and they defended her endlessly as long as she was all they had. But the minute they found someone leftier and tingleyier (Obama) they threw her under the bus. Kamala getting a dose of that right now too and they have not even identified another candidate for 2024 yet, but they want to flush the toilet to make room for some new turds. Kamala ain't working out and they know that no amount of duct tape and bondo will fix her. Exasperation and dysfunction: Inside Kamala Harris' frustrating start as vice president (CNN)Worn out by what they see as entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus, key West Wing aides have largely thrown up their hands at Vice President Kamala Harris and her staff -- deciding there simply isn't time to deal with them right now, especially at a moment when President Joe Biden faces quickly multiplying legislative and political concerns. The exasperation runs both ways. Interviews with nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials, Democratic operatives, donors and outside advisers -- who spoke extensively to CNN -- reveal a complex reality inside the White House. Many in the vice president's circle fume that she's not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined. The vice president herself has told several confidants she feels constrained in what she's able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of even hinting at future political ambitions, with Biden's team highly attuned to signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president. She's a heartbeat away from the presidency now. She could be just a year away from launching a presidential campaign of her own, given doubts throughout the political world that Biden will actually go through with a reelection bid in 2024, something he's pledged to do publicly and privately. Or she'll be a critical validator in three years for a President trying to get the country to reelect him to serve until he's 86. Few of the insiders who spoke with CNN think she's being well-prepared for whichever role it will be. Harris is struggling with a rocky relationship with some parts of the White House, while long-time supporters feel abandoned and see no coherent public sense of what she's done or been trying to do as vice president. Being the first woman, and first woman of color, in national elected office is historic but has also come with outsized scrutiny and no forgiveness for even small errors, as she'll often point out. Defenders and people who care for Harris are getting frantic. When they're annoyed, some pass around a recent Onion story mocking her lack of more substantive work, one with the headline, "White House Urges Kamala Harris To Sit At Computer All Day In Case Emails Come Through." When they're depressed, they bat down the Aaron Sorkin-style rumor that Biden might try to replace her by nominating her to a Supreme Court vacancy. That chatter has already reached top levels of the Biden orbit, according to one person who's heard it. She's perceived to be in such a weak position that top Democrats in and outside of Washington have begun to speculate privately, asking each other why the White House has allowed her to become so hobbled in the public consciousness, at least as they see it. Enter your email to sign up for CNN's "What Matters" Newsletter. "She's very honored and very proud to be vice president of the United States. Her job as the No. 2 is to be helpful and supportive to the President and to take on work that he asks her to take on," said Eleni Kounalakis, the lieutenant governor of California and a longtime friend. Kounalakis spoke with the vice president last Monday morning before Harris departed for a diplomatic mission to France. "It is natural that those of us who know her know how much more helpful she can be than she is currently being asked to be," Kounalakis said. "That's where the frustration is coming from." An incumbent vice president should be a shoo-in the next time the party's presidential nomination is open. But guessing who might launch a theoretical primary challenge to Harris has become an ongoing insider parlor game. Other politicians with their own presidential ambitions have started privately acknowledging that they are trying to figure out how to quietly lay the groundwork to run if and when Harris falters, as they think she might. https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/14/politics/kamala-harris-frustrating-start-vice-president/index.html
Totally embarrassing and scary. We have gone from energy independence to putting out our begging bowls like we are Canadians or something. Exclusive: U.S. asks Japan, China, others to consider tapping oil reserves - sources WASHINGTON, Nov 17 (Reuters) - The Biden administration has asked some of the world's largest oil consuming nations - including China, India and Japan - to consider releasing crude stockpiles in a coordinated effort to lower global energy prices, according to several people familiar with the matter. The unusual request comes as U.S. President Joe Biden fends off political pressure over rising pump prices and other consumer costs driven by a rebound in economic activity from lows plumbed early in the coronavirus pandemic. https://www.reuters.com/business/en...nate-releases-oil-reserves-sources-2021-11-17
Embarrassing yes. The world has nothing but contempt for this administration. Abject failure on all fronts.
how can you say Xiden is fake? Oh no, he is loved by all Karens, Brandons, joe shmoes, all immigrants and antifa thieves! Huge victory for prosperity of americans, well pfizer mostly, buy hey
This isn't surprising at all. You see will same in NYT and WaPo in time. They KNOW she can't win and they also know that it's very unlikely Biden will, or can, run again. They are laying the groundwork to get her out. I would not be surprised at all to see the left wing media take her out, and soon.
Yes, well, that's the thing. Kamala is underwater and largely disliked by the dems. Particularly the progressives who are very disappointed and distrustful of her now. And the moderate dems and independents are just saying "tell me something about what you are doing because I can't figure it out." The media and psaki and the dnc and the other usual suspects try to deperately to say that this is a racial thing, a misogyst thing, first female vp etc. Except the dem party rejected her bigtime in the primary- looked good on the skin color thing and sat down when she pees- two things very important to dems- but beyond that they did not like her at all and she dropped out/was booted out even before Iowa. Cackling her way through the primary did not work and SURPRISE, SURPRISE it is not working as VP. She is so far over her head as VP- which is not exactly all that demanding- it is absurd. She is practically in hiding. Oh I see. They gave her shitty jobs. Also known as giving a woman important work that is central to the success or failure of the administration. You assign her as Border Czar- but she does not go to border- she says she wants to be Space Camp Ambassor and read books to children at space events. And they hired some fake kids from an ad agency or some place to come in and give her a chance to be authentic. Yeh, okay. Your next president? OR NOT. Of course being totally incapable of being president is not necessarily a barrier to their electing some buffoon as we are seeing already. I just dont know what her base is. And neither do the dems.
