Nah the line is out the door to have a single door separate you from the Oval Office. COS is an extremely powerful position that is on the inside of the inside.

I don’t know if the elections went better than expected for the White House. Biden and his team had a pretty good understanding of how close the House would be in the weeks leading up to the midterms.

Klain will most likely move into running the reelection campaign. I expect Psaki will rejoin team Biden on that side too.

Working for MSNBC is already being part of the Biden re-election campaign.

  5. The "weeks before" yes. "Months before" not so much. Was looking grim.

He got lucky a bit. If the grim period had been closer to the election it would have been worse.

Klain is a professional Beltway Boy. He is like a Beluga whale. He may submerge for a week or two but he will resurface in some other Beltway or campaign role soon after. You don't have to be Karnac to predict that.

  6. Okay. I see that. I know that Biden has a boner for skin color so I thought he would go down that road, but I needed to keep in mind that his other boner is for covid and the power that comes from that. Enter Jeff Zients.

Whatever. Normally a president chooses someone who knows how to work the bureaucracy and both houses of Congress but Joe has his own way. You can name the precise experience and skills that a successful press secretary should have and show him what made Psaki successful for the dems, and then Joe hires the exact opposite the next time.

"US President Joe Biden will name as his chief of staff Jeff Zients, a former White House pandemic policy coordinator, the Washington Post reported on Sunday, citing four people familiar with the decision."

I knew he was in the mix but I thought his work as the Covid response coordinator would not send the right message so I thought he would get bypassed. I thought it would be Sullivan. We’ll see.

Another race over merit choice....don't worry its only a lifetime appointment

Her nomination is pending before the Senate Judiciary Committee. If confirmed, Bjelkengren would be the first woman of color to serve on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington and the first Black woman to serve on a United States District Court in the state of Washington

Sen. Kennedy stumps Biden nominee with basic questions about the Constitution
Judge Charnelle Bjelkengren could not recall what certain parts of US Constitution do
