I saw this post on X and it got me thinking, so I asked a friend who regularly travels to Europe. He confirmed that he eats whatever he wants over there, never gets an upset stomach, often inexplicably loses weight.

Did a little research and was astounded at the difference in everyday foods that Americans eat and don't give a second thought to. Here's just a few minor examples to illustrate the slow poisoning that's going on here.

    According to Dr. Casey Means:
    • 74% Americans are now overweight or obese
    • close to 50% of children are overweight or obese
    • 77% of young adults are unfit to serve in the military
    • 50% of Americans have pre-diabetes or Type 2 diabetes (1% in the 1950's had Type 2 diabetes)
    • 30% of teens now have pre-diabetes
    • 18% of teens have fatty liver disease (only used to be found in elderly alcoholics)
    • young adult cancers are up 79%
    • 25% of American women are on anti-depressants
    • 40% of 18 yr olds have a mental health diagnosis
    • we have the highest infant mortality rate in the entire developed world
    • autism rates in kids are 1 in 36 nationally (in the year 2000 it was 1 in 1500 and the screening has not changed)
    • autism rates in kids in California are 1 in 22

All of these conditions are driven by the same thing - metabolic dysfunction (which is driven by our toxic food situation and our toxic environment). Anyway, I hope that if RFK Jr. gets confirmed he addresses some of these issues, as we've got a MAJOR health problem in America and our legacy media doesn't generally like to talk about it.

    familiar with informal fallacies?

What’s the difference in macros between a sugar donut in the EU and the US?

Joey eats donuts in Europe -> Joey loses 9 pounds -> EU food better.

and ofc EU food regulates HFCS, but either continent both are poison.

I actually agree with RFK on 2 points:

    1. McDonalds should go back using tallow for French fries. (Remember 1990?) Healthier and tastier. But the vegetable oil they are using now is cheaper.

    2. Municipalities should not put fluoride into the water supply. I am an old man without my original teeth (for argument sake). Why do I need to drink an industrial waste product? If children need extra fluoride, let's give them toothpase with it.

  6. The number one item purchased with EBT/food stamps in America is "soft drinks." A category of "food" that is not actually food and is actually a downgrade to your health.

This is an area where Bobby will have a position and I look forward to it. I have been around on this topic a bit over the years and know that it is one of the largest elephants in the room in America and there is almost zero interest in discussing or tackling it. Neither the dems nor the pubs want to touch it. Like Medicare, it is one of the third rails of politics that no one wants to touch. You lose campaign donations from industry lobbyists, you lose voters who want you to pay for their Milk Duds in the name of "nutrition."

I know that the dems and pubs defend their cowardly inaction to fix this (the real story being their fear of losing campaign donations and lobbyists smearing them in public) by saying that the government should not be controlling or telling people what to eat. THIS IS TOTAL BULLFEATHERS. At no point would I control what other people eat. If you want to eat milk duds and jujy fruits for breakfast and wash it down with mountain dew, go for it. Just pay for it with your own money instead of the ridiculous-but-legal scam of charging it to a government nutrition improvement program such as EBT/SNAP/WIC whatever.

In contrast, infant formula is a major area of expenditure in EBT/WIC etc. That's fine. That's for the good. That's sane. That's within the intent of the programs. I would run a computer program and eliminate all the fun food categories. Take the saving and move more over to infant formula categories (just as an example) and move some funds into enhancing nutrition for elderly. Boom!

Anyway, I am actually going to sit this issue out a bit since I am satisfied that somewhere between Bobby's being on the scene, and Vivek/Elon's examination of government waste that this previously untouchable issue is about to have its day.

    That's fine.

The ketchup thing. Both contribute to insulin resistance. HFCS result in more VLDL but trivial impact to your A1C (one vs other). They both suck. Who is eating ketchup?
