Absolutely correct. In fact, with the right exit strategy, we can make money even if the buy/sell entry points are totally random.
I hear this all the time which makes me believe it less than if I heard it once every five years. Of course one most have the right exit strategy for each type of trade in his toolbox but the contention that "we can make money even if the buy/sell entry points are totally random" sounds like something that backtests for a small profit but that trades for a small loss. I think entries are pretty damn important as well but this type of thinking makes it sound as if only exits really matter. I got a ton of stuff that looked good to me at first glance that I stopped looking at litterally 24 hours later. If I had it all in one box I would gladly sell it for $3.
