+1. it's not a fucking game..someone have to remind those fuckers that it's not what this country can do for you..i hope that they realize, how pathetic us congress members looks like..
I don't think so. Maybe the typical voter wants them to do this or that. Maybe this or that is unrealistic or makes no sense. In any case they aren't doing this or that, they are doing the other thing, whatever that is, and the voters did not want them to do that.
Completely disagree. Americans have conciously been voting for huge deficit spending since the Reagan re-election. They've had alternatives, and rejected all of them. Democracy works. We the People are getting exactly what we voted for.
I understand your point completely, but I disagree that they "consciously," as you put it, vote for huge deficits. As an "American" what I would say is that less than one voter in ten understands what they are actually voting for. They don't see the connection between war, deficits, and prices. They think Social Security is a Ponzi scheme but want their Social Security checks on time, and they have no idea where inflation comes from other than increasing demand. They think low taxes, by themselves, cause the economy to thrive, and they most certainly don't understand indirect taxation via monetizing and inflation. If they are old, they recognize that medical costs are high, and they have a vague idea that the U.S. spends a lot of money on its military, but it might be a good idea to spend a little bit more to make certain the U.S. has the "strongest military force in the world." They think that they have the best medical care in the world, and that must somehow justify the cost, and that their military are somehow protecting them and helping to bring democracy to people who don't have it. Exactly what current threats their military is protecting them against, they are not certain, but they trust it must be something important that they need, else why would military service be so exalted and dying for one's country be so honored. Beyond those thoughts though, they don't have much interest in the detail of politics or policy. In fact, they have been taught not to discuss politics with company present! They do enjoy vilifying whichever party is in control, but not in polite company of course. They find intriguing the latest conspiracy hypotheses explaining why the twin towers came down, or why the Federal reserve is evil. So while I would completely agree that the U.S. voter has repeatedly and consistently voted in a way that is bound to result in huge deficits, they don't realize it. It's an unconscious act on their part. They are voting for a "Strong Military", for preserving Social Security, for strengthening Medicare, for family values or just "values". They vote to put criminals behind bars, to put more cops on the street, for a war on drugs, for safe and better schools, for jobs, for better highways, and above all for low taxes. But they are most emphatically against deficits and against inflation. They would never vote in favor of these things. I know it's ridiculous, but then the typical American voter is ridiculous. But vote "consciously" for deficits? NEVER!
BS, most have little if any idea what they're voting for. All they care about is rooting for their "team". Aren't we more of a republic?
Government is so disgusting. Who is in charge? Who is accountable for all this garbage? They all just blame each other and nothing gets done. These people need to hang for their criminal acts, instead they get to rob everyone and get away with it. Obama is a joke. This country needs a real leader that's gonna take control and stomp out all these criminals in office.
