The problem is that nobody cares. Companies, wall street, politicians, lobyists, and the media all are pretty happy with the current system. Individules do not matter these days, they have no voice in a time when everything is run by money. The only thing we individuals can do, is to choose who of the 2 corrupt politican should represent the... ...lobyist.
Option new and, BobIII are expressing what many realize is the real solution to the fundamental problem of the federal government of the United States if it is to remain a democratic republic, viz, one must get money out of politics. The courts have interpreted the First Amendment in way that precludes any possibility of reversing the present trend toward corporate control of the government. I doubt if this can change as it would take a substantial revision of the U.S. Constitution. With corporate money firmly in control of the government, there is little chance of that happening, short of violent revolution. We are witnessing the ultimate success of capitalism and the failure of popular will to combat capitalism's worst manifestation. (As a capitalist, I can't tell you how it pains me to say that.) If I wanted to summarize the path the U.S. has taken, I would do it this way. -- these are not my words, but probably some economist, and I don't know who it is. I put it in quotation to make that clear, though I am paraphrasing-- "Over the course of 200+ years, the United states has transitioned from one vote per property holder, to one vote per person, to one vote per one dollar." And as the majority now has no disposable wealth with which to cast their vote, the majority is no longer in control of the government.
... there is a name for what you propose, it's called MANDAMUS (look it up) maybe I should be that hotshot attorney! SICK of this crap, sick of duplicity and scum running the governments of the USA. Sad. No accountability for these clowns!
Good point that, and you're right. The present mess is hardly that much of a mess for the above, only the poor citizens.
If you really want to know how honest etc. the politicians are then request under the freedom of information act all details of those politicians convicted by the courts last year and last 10 years.
I am surprised that The President only earns a meazly $400,000 per year. Peanuts compared to most successful business men. Prolly why you got monkeys in The Houses ! The average NY tradesman is on about that
